Steering Stem Bearings and Ball joints

I have a Honda TRX350 from back in 03. It started steering really hard so I figured I need to replace the ball joints and the steering stem bearings.

I am really at whit’s end with parts not sliding in like I would like them to. The bearings only go half way in and then stop at the circle ring groove and the ball joints…not even a quarter inch.

OEM replacements on the Ball joints and aftermarket bearings.

I have watched the youtube videos and I just don’t get it. Ended up buggering up one of the ball joints and just quit right there.

Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it.

New Ripsaws & Shimmy at 30mph

Looking for some advice. Finally took the bike out with the new 26" Ripsaws mounted on the Polaris SIXR’s. Started down the dirt road and at 30mph the front started to shake. Took it down the tar and watched the front tires, they spun like they were out of round. Looked at the tire and the bead is uneven around the rim. I deflated both front tires, drove it slow with some sharp turns to see if i could maybe even out the bead, then inflated them to 50psi to reseat the bead, then back down to 7psi. Took it for a test drive and not change.

Called the dealer where i bought them from and they were as helpfull as a ………….

Looking for ideas on the next step. :nixweiss:

Thanks !!

2008 Sportsman 500 Fan won’t come on and overheats

Hi All,

I have read a few other posts about this issue but can’t quite figure it out.

I just picked my ATV up and it has been dealer serviced about a month ago.

After riding my ATV around for about 10 minutes the "HOT check engine" light came on. When it came on I stopped and checked and the fan was not on. The engine was also very hot. So I’m assuming the engine is overheating because the fan is not coming on.

I have seen some posts about unplugging the sensor or the thermostat and seeing if the fan came on. I couldn’t figure out which these two things were but I unplugged a couple things on the left side of the engine one at a time but the fan didn’t come on. Not sure what I was unplugging though.

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this and figure out what is really going on?

I heard some people saying you can put 12 volts directly to the fan to see if it works? I’ve read a lot about this but I’m sort of hoping for an explicit explanation of what I can do.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :slomo:

07 Grizzly 400 stator ohms ?

I am testing the stator on my 2007 Grizzly 400. I am testing the rotation direction coil and can`t get a reading. Red wire and white with blue stripe wire. Meter goes back to zero every time. I am on the 2k setting. Not sure but I think the spec ohms for that is .085 to .105. Maybe someone could verify that for me. If my reading is correct does that mean the stator is bad and what would the symptoms of that be if any? Thanks in advance.

Did I just strip my park gear??

Bike is a 2005 grizzly 660
So earlier today I needed to flip the grizzly on the rear rack to do some maintenance. I had it in park, and it flipped on the tail end just fine.
On the way down, as I was about 18 inches off the ground still in the process of lowering it, the park gear gave out. The grizz made a hard landing after that:rocker:

So, now when I put it in park, it sorta holds when I push it forward, but when I push it back, it will roll and make snapping noises.
I’m I just going to have to live without park? Is there a fix with adjusting it or something?
