2007 Foreman rev limiter?

Gidday y’all, I was hoping someone would be able to help with a possible issue with my ’07 Foreman ES. When I raise my RPM to a certain level, my engine seems to stop climbing like it hits an electronic rev limiter. But since its carbed, how is this possible? Bike starts no problem, even in cold (Canadian) weather, runs awesome, just doesn’t have a high top speed, just under 80 km (50 mph). Before I start pulling apart the carb to clean it, is this a common issue? I feel like its a fuel issue, maybe the main jet is gummed up, so if anyone has an idea, I’d appreciate it!

Thanks

Winter Fun

Went for a putt few days ago and it was awesome! Weather was great with 4-8 inches of fresh snow, very cool. Really like the ruggedness and performance of this Quad. Been kindly named the, "Tow Truck"! My Buddy has a wolverine 450 4×4, nice Quad, and Fourtrax 450 also, I usually ride last incase either one gets stuck. Trails we ride are very tight and misleading with a lot of water crossings. All Good, plus I carry the straps n winch. Priced used machines before I bought mine and glad I paid a bit more for mine. Getting frigid up here and be fun down there this weekend. Another day of winter fun!

Douglas 10″ rims on ’16 Rancher?

Hello ya’ll…

I want to mount 10" diameter (10×8) Douglas aluminum black label rims on my 2016 Honda Rancher. I understand that the bolt pattern is the same as a Honda 400ex, so the same Douglas 10×8 black label rims should mount up to the Rancher, unless the drum brake doesn’t clear.

When I look at my current stock setup, I see that my 11" stock steel Honda Rancher rims have a decent amount of clearance between the rim and the drum brake housing.

I know you’ll all be thinking about things like offset, and outside diameter if mine is a 4×4, etc.

I don’t see any problems there because I plan to run 24" diameter tires on the Douglas rims, and the offset will be to the outside, so I don’t see a problem there either where I’ll be running in sand dunes.

Does anyone know if these 10" Douglas rims will mount up and clear the drum?

Thanks.
