When you have your front tires off the ground and the atv not running and in two wheel drive. When you turn a tire is the front drive shaft turn? Just never noticed before. thanks in advance

I’m looking at buying this machine tonight and wanted some input/advice on anything I should be looking for or what you all think.

I’m either gonna fix it and keep of fix her up and sell for profit.. My end goal being a newer rene xxc so I’m pretty sure I wanna sell this one if I can get it running. Location is 20 min from my farm so I’m not driving far at all. I see the engine is stained and the snorkels and all so I know it’s seen it’s fair share of mud, especially with the tires and clutch kit all there. Just curious if you guys think it’s a good deal or not or if I should shy away. I don’t generally like to look at anything snorkeled but I’m looking for some engine work to do in my spare time and this looks like a good project. Not looking to spend much more then a grand on rebuilding it so hopefully it’s nothing too major.

Well waiting for the tax return to come, now just need to figure out what to get!! Liking the idea of arched a arms.. Thought about a winch, not sure about that, have a good bubba rope, does wonders.. Also there’s of course the option of a secondary, cams.. I’d like to just get the super atv 4" lift.. But doubt that would happen.. All these ideas lol..

I’m looking to upgrade this spring and was wondering what everyone’s opinions are? I was planning on getting a renegade 1000 xxc and building it to be a mud machine but then they came out with the renegade xmr. My question is the xmr supposed to be a reAl good mud machine because those snorkels need some redesigning in my opinion? Also It is priced the same as the xxc so is it worth the money to build my own?

I’ve been researching this issue for a few weeks and can’t seem to find a fix. My 08 Renegade 800 is making a grinding noise when coming to a rolling stop. It does this in both high and low gear, and only when coming to a stop.

I have replaced the shift lever and the long rod connecting the gearbox as I thought that might be the issue. The machine shifts into gear much easier but it still grinds when stopping.

If I put my hand on the CVT cover I’m pretty sure I can feel the grinding.

Any ideas?
