Just did the install super easy and great looking bumpers. I wanted to post this because I had a question on the overall length of the rzr with these bumpers and couldn’t find the answer, maybe this will help someone else. I was limited on space in my trailer and was not 100% sure if these would fit with the added length but took a shot anyways. I have a 2013 xp4 900 and the overall stock body from plastic to plastic was 131 1/2" with my tire setup at 134 1/2. With the new bumpere my overall length is now at 138 1/2 bumper to bumper. Basically the bumpers protrude a total of 7". I know all bodies vary in length but I’d bet the bumpers would all stick off this 7". Seems like an inconsequential post but I know some of us are tight in our tow vehicles and this could help someone down the road. By the way, it still fits in my trailer with 6" to spare. 🙂
I am new to Alaska and to the Matsu valley. I really want to go riding my sidexside. However, not every trail allows ATVs and not many websites with info. Can anyone recommend some places in the area?
I have been to the Knik glacier and to Kings River ones…any other ones?
I recently wrote a review on the ATV Superstore’s website about a product I purchased recently, and the review was erased. What’s the point of writing honest reviews if the webmaster is going to cherry pick the ones that are posted? If you are going to have a review section you have to take the good with the bad. Reputable vendors are aware of that and post all comments on their sites whether they are positive or not.
I bought the busted belt toolkit for $169.00. I live in Canada and there is an exchange rate to consider of course. At the time I bought it a few weeks ago it was 20%. The ATV Superstore can’t control exchange rates and I have no problem with that. I was charged 29% exchange rate, so it was padded almost 10%. That was the bank, not ATV Superstore. I was originally charged $184.94 on my Visa so I assume I was charged state tax because the list price was $169.00. I have been buying things online for many years and have never paid state tax on items being shipped out of the USA to Canada. With the exchange rate the bill came to $239.00. Then to add insult to injury I was stung with $26 duty for a grand total of $265.00 – for an $80 belt and and $15 tool kit.
I realize that duty and exchange rates are out of the average business owner’s hands. In my review on ATV Superstore’s site I said that I understand that they can’t control such things. I was simply warning Canadian customers to not waste their money on this product due to the extra charges. After all it’s an $80 belt and $15 Sears Craftsman 10 piece socket set. However I did notice the price was reduced $10 after I wrote my review. I could have saved myself $150 if I bought the separate pieces here. Is that ATV Superstore’s fault? Of course not. I fully admit I should have researched the purchase better before hand. I just wanted to warn other Canadians of the issue so they didn’t have the same thing happen to them.
Hey guys so I was in West Virginia this weekend going in some deep water holes that I always go through its nothing new to my bike well I went in this hole probably 15 times and I stopped turned my bike off and I came back to it a little later and tried to crank it and my instrument cluster had a number 12 where the miles are and the engine light came on when I tried to crank it. All I would get out of it was a click well I got pulled back to cabin and I tried to crank it and it fired up this happened again on our trip in another hole and it wasn’t even that deep I was coming out of the hole and right before I got out it cut off except this time nothing changed with instrument cluster and no engine light came on I got pulled for a little ways then it fired right up. I have no clue what’s going on if anyone can help me with what’s wrong I would really appreciate it.
First off we are ok. Second I’m very disappointed in how easily the factory cage buckled. That’s ridiculous considering we slowly rolled. But anyways trying to figure out my options. I bought the Polaris roof/radio/light bar combo when I bought the rzr. Now I wish I would if Bc it’s looking like I won’t be able to use it.
So I have a few questions
Does anyone know how much the factory Polaris roll cage costs?
Do any of the prefabbed cages Allow use of a Polaris factory roof?
What have you guys seen with the aftermarket cages? What has worked well for you? I’m leaning towards the cage wrx
It also pushed the cage out so my door won’t latch either now. And possibly have something wrong in drivetrain since its clunking in forward now.
So my new set up with 27 inch executioners hit the fenders when I’m going fast and hit a decent bump it rubs. Would it be better off to put hd springs on it to give it a little lift or buy spring spacers. I understand the lift puts more strain on front axles but wouldnt the lift from the springs have the same effect on the axles as a lift?
I think my right front CV Joint is shot an my 2008 outlander 650. I noticed it making a creaking sound when I sit on it and tried lubricating everything and this did nothing It has gotten really bad when I sit on it and when I am riding . Is there a way to confirm this is the CV Joint? if so, Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to change the front outer CV Joint? I am fairly mechanical and have decent tools, but no press or specialty tools. I have never changed a CV joint and want to make sure I am not getting in over my head.
Hey everyone, been on the web looking for years at this forum, always been a die hard Polaris and ATV guy but ever since the RZR came out I wanted one, I saved and finally got a new 900S Titanium in November…. I have owned many sportsmans and even raced GNCC on Scramblers and Predators….
Big question is has anyone else second guessed the switch? I have had it out 3 times on trails and I can’t say "I love it!"….not sure why, its fast and no doubt fun, however I almost feel like is less "personal" of a ride than the Sportsman I replaced, not sure I like not seeing the tires while riding or not getting the option of body weight to effect the ride and handling.
Has anyone else struggled adjusting? if so what did it take to start loving it?…. My wife can’t believe it because I have whined about getting on for years…. any insight would be appreciated… thx
First off hi everybody and thanks for having me here!. Ok heres the deal. I aquired this 08 Outlaw 90 in a trade for some old rims I had laying around. Runs great, looks great, and drives decent. Well drove I guess I could say 🙁 . Im decently mechanically inclined, but am not familiar with cvt drive systems. When I put it into gear, either forward or reverse, i would have to "mess" with the shift lever to get it to go into gear. It would lightly click and clack a little before (fully?) Engaging. Then while riding, it seemed like it was revving higher than it should be in comparison to how fast it was going. Like it was slipping almost rather than reaching top speed. The transmision/ clutch also seems pretty loud like a whining I guess you could say. So today I pulled the cvt cover off, and removed the belt just to get a good look around. Nothing was dirty or dusty and the belt is intact and seems to be of good condition (although I dont know exactly how it should look when its right) but it looks fine to me. I didnt want to delve any deeper than that bc I dnt know much about these systems. One thing struck me as odd but may be perfectly normal, idk. The secondary clutch seems to operate and pull in as it should, but it moves around alot? Like it pivots an inch or so in every direction? Is it supposed to be like that or should it be locked in place and free spinning? As far as the primary clutch, im not able to push it in or pull it out or anything by hand like I can on the secondary. So I put the belt back on and painstakingly got the cover back on bc the way the secondary moves around. I had to try and hold it in place and get the shaft to go into the bearing in the cover. Got it all back together exactly how it came apart finally. Started right up. But now when I put it in gear, it goes in forward or reverse with no problems, but it makes a load clacking sound. It kinda jeks into either gear and immediatly starts clacking. If I give it gas, it stalls out. Sorry for being so long winded, I but I am in desperate need of help!!!!! Thanks in advance
