Losing power

First time poster Went on a run yesterday in 2015 rzrs900 and as I was doing hill climbs I stared to lose power on the hills and in the mud my belt was not slipping at wot throttle it feels like it wS bogging down any help would be great

firts ride on 650 xmr

so I just put my first 4 hrs on my 650 xmr,,just for comparison of what I had before,it was a 2013 750 brute clutched piped ,all the good stuff. so I could not be happier:aniwheeler6:. the bike rode smooth after 8-10 kmhr,suspension soked up the bumps awesome, manuverability and the tri mod power steering was beautiful, so I didnt hit no crazy mud cause I trying to break it easy but I was in and out of the ditches and ruts which here in the Canadian east coast are sloppy,the bike pulled with out a spin of the tire,i was surprised,,i heard 1 cherp from my belt but nothing serious. so far,im really happy bout the purchase because I wanted an awesome trailmud bike,and boy did can am deliver. I think those mud zillas are underestimated by most..for a good trail and mud tire,i don’t think theres a better one,,but there are definatly better pure mud tires,,SB & OL,,oh and the guade cluster,i was impressed,being able to switch from trip modew,and time and rpm mode to c your engagement and revs in a number was fun,,,so future mods iv noticed id like first is either a Dalton kit or if I can wait and save, a QSC primary,would like a bit more bottom end,,i know its only a 650 not the 800 but I still think the 650 can am is an impressive motor for its class,and with a little clutch tuning it will be amazing,anyway that’s my first ride,thnx for reading:th_smiliewavey:

FourTrax TransPlant

Newest Project : being a FourTrax 300 Fanatic , I want to keep it in theme , I have 2 EZGO WorkHorse ST’s with the 350cc Kawasaki gas engine and variable pulley belt drive set up , the second one has a cracked block and I have a Honda TX300A shat drive engine , want to put the 300 engine into the cart and want to keep it shat drive , there is a guy on cart site that turns the 300 engine sideways and builds a sprocket holder adaptor to the output shat , a 250/350 rear end would be sweet but it is too narrow , could start with the ring and pinion housing and build , I have seen CoolPool’s thread on splicing the the bike back end to the cart , but want to keep the Frame as it is set up with a dump bed ———————any ideas on how to make this work

Bear Claw Tires

Hi guys, sorry if this is a newb question. I’m not too knowledgeable on tires.

I have a 1985 Honda Fourtrax 250 and was thinking of getting new tires but sticking with the factory rims.

The factory tires on the rims are;
Front – 21 x 7 x 10
Rear – 25 x 12 x 9

Options for those sizes is very limited and I wanted to do something to bring up the front end a bit.

I was looking into getting some Bear Claw tires through Royal Distributing.
Front – 23 x 7 x 10
Rear – 25 x 12.5 x 9

Will height increase in the front cause any significant problems? (i.e. clearance & turrning)

Will the width of 12.5 fit on the factory rims that are 12 wide? (the bear claw tires are not available in 25x12x9)

If this isn’t a good option what would be a better option?

500 rebuild

After a tough week at an event in Croatia last year where I wrecked the frame I decided to rebuild my SP 500 on to a new frame.

I also had a hard time with mud in the rad and overheating which I wanted to try and address.

The only other problem I had was charging and battery life. We did a lot of winching everyday and the bike’s system simply can’t cope.

So, after 10 months thinking about it I finally stripped the bike and began the re-designed rebuild.

Along with the main frame, the front frame was also twisted so needed replaced. I decided to make the replacement myself which would also allow me to make other changes along the way.

So the list as I began stood at:

Rad relocate
Winch upgrade and relocate
Front storage mods
Auxiliary battery
LED lights throughout
General tidy up/repaint of parts

roll cage question

i have read a few different threads. my question is , does it hurt to cut and reweld the factory roll cage, rather than buy a new one. i can add most the extra from what i see in new cages , and i want the top a bit flatter without the hump. i have to think this will make factory cage allot stronger.
ANY THOUGHT?
