OK SO< I know this is an ATV site, but motors are motors LOL
I bought a Ryobi 43 cc 2 stroke backpack blower last November, ran good then started to run like crap, every time I shut the thing off, it would run like crap for 5 minutes then run fine
after a few weeks of this I took it back and they gave me a new one
last few days been using it again, and having same issues
the issue’;s being when it starts fine cold, runs fine hot, untill I shut it off, add fuel or just shut it off
I get a LOT of air pressure releasing every time I open the fill cap, ?? actually some times will NOT start unless I open the cap to let air in.pressure out!
NOW< it will start in 2 pulls after I open the cap, BUT will run like crap, idle/rev’s up and down at will, will bog or rev when applying throttle, OR stall if I give it too much, then and ONLY after I ran it for a while, it will run funny every time I tild the motor, like its starves for fuel then gets too much, or the likes
BUT after running for 5 minutes it great again!
here is what I have tried! and sure are right
fuel is good and mixed right
spark plug, teied new one’s and old obne’s look fine?? doesn’t change anything at all
air filter is clean
treied running with gas cap on and off when it acts up, make s NO difference!?
again this is my second one with same issue’s(has a 2 yr warranty, 1+ left LOL)
when it runs it runs great
only have issuesd when I shut it off and then for 5 minutes after I start it back up, and will do so, hot or almost cold!(running for just 5 minutes or so)
Greetings everyone… I joined this site about 3 weeks ago and am finally getting around to this.
I have ridden ATV’s since I was a kid starting out on a Honda 70 3 wheeler.
I have had a 185s and 250R 3 wheeler plus a CR250 and a Suzuki RM250 dirt bikes back when I was a teenager, now im an old fart at 44 lol.
Anyways now I recently bought a 2000 Honda Foreman 450s from an old man that used it around his farm to check his cows and whatever else he did. He bought a new Honda utility vehicle and I bought this from him and realized why the hell I waited so long to get back into it…
Look forward to talking to you all on here, I like the site from what I have read it is very informative.
When to use "H" or "L"? I know this is a rookie question but i want to know from people who know and haved used these ATVs. I have only used my ATV for plowing so far but am planning a trip soon so i want to be sure i’m using the right gear.
I recently purchased an 07 Honda rancher 420 fe and the stock snorkle is not on the bike. At first it wasn’t s big deal but after riding a few times I have had water make its way to the air box. I really don’t go deep or do anything to crazy when riding just the ocassional small mud hole. So anyone know where I could buy a factory snorkle for pretty cheap, I found the oem one online but its around $60 and i don’t really want to spend that much. And also would I be better off to just buy some snorkle kit even though I dnot take my rancher deep? Thanks for the help!!!
I have a 2013 Polaris Sportsman 550 eps and it rides great on the trails. It is factory adjusted and have never had any problems. I just bought a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 550 eps for the wife and have found the suspension is a lot stiffer when on the trail. It is also factory adjusted and cannot be let out any further. I was told by somebody the suspension is the same as the scrambler. Any suggestions on loosing up the suspension or giving a little more cushion to the ride…Thanks
I did some good mud riding on the weekend and when I was washing it noticed all the mud and debris was obviously caked in front of the rad. My question is has anyone ever cut the shroud at the bottom of the rad to let the mud and debris fall out or get washed out easier. Or does this expose it more to sticks and anything else that could puncture the rad. To me even an if an inch of the plastic cut out of the way would help.
Went to buy a new plug for the 570, as part of maintenance and i like to carry a spare, was still running original plug at 2600 miles. To my suprise the dealer handed me a ngk plug, he said polaris was no longer running the champion plug and they are now shipping with ngk.
