I’m having a heck of a time figuring out which oil filter to buy for this model. I am guessing several models use the same filter, but I’m not familiar enough with them to be able to decide properly.
My local Honda shop I’d rather not go to because my experience there is one of getting overcharged, keeping my machine for too long, not returning phone calls, etc.
Everywhere I look, I do not find this model number. I have taken it from the VIN.
Well after being a long time lurker I have something to post. Thanks to plenty of posts by members with feedback on tires I finally pulled the trigger on new Bighorn ‘original’ 25" tires and 12" wheels. All I can say is wow! The Bighorns are night and day better than stock, just like most people reported back on them.
The ATV did gain 46lbs additional weight with these but the ATV seems just as peppy as before. I weighed the tire and wheel combos individually, both new and old. The ATV also gained 1" or better in ground clearance.
I live in Thornton Colorado and do plenty of trail riding on mostly rocky trails, these tires should be perfect for it. I will be taking it out to Moab in June, these tires should do great. A big thanks to Kentco and others for their valued opinions.
Hello friends. I made it through the break-in period and decided it was time to run my new 2016 Honda Rancher 420 wide open. I was using the Rancher on a job site, with official permissions, flashing lights and all, and I had several opportunities to open it up between work destinations. I tested it in both ESP mode and in AUTO mode. Mine is the TRX420FA2, 4×4 DCT EPS SRA version. 50mph is the absolute top speed, per the factory speedo. Before it hits 51mph the rev limited kicks in. I filmed it with the GoPro and posted it on my channel on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNX93ys22oQ
2007 FM7 Rancher Im having the power red and yellow wire read 9 volts than 13 when pressing starter swtich, the "ground" wire green read 9 volts and stays at 9 volts when pressing starter switch. Relay is good but, cant get relay to click!
Had a slight chattering noise in the front of the engine, and clutches felt like they were slipping.
Pulled the engine and pulled front cover. The clutch drum is black, the weights look "burnt?" But the drum measured out ok. The one way bearing operated smoothly and felt like it held properly. But I had a noise after shutting down like something was still spinning inside.
Next question on the clutch discs. I dropped em so they got mixed up. Service manual says there are "A" and "B"? How can I tell em apart? I know the difference in the plates and discs but not the a and b.??

I have an 07 rancher 4×4 es that won’t start when it’s cold out. When you go to start it the fuel pump doesn’t come on and since there is no fuel won’t start. Starts no problem in the summer. I’ve been stranded on lakes ice fishing and am scared to even take it out again until I maybe find out what’s going on. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you
