well LOT of the east coast is getting hit with a pretty bad snow storm
I so far got about 14 inches and its still coming down heavy here, and based on radar, I’m in the middle of the storm, so several more hrs of it to fall
heavy wind gusts well over 40+ mph, so a LOT of drifting
will be plowing I guess a few days to get it all cleaned up
anyone planning to get to the The Great American Outdoor Show, its the Worlds largest outdoors like show, they will have about everything under the sun for the outdoors, atv’s boats trucks, guns ammo, fishing hunting, you name it
its a HUGE show, maybe about 20 acres of indoors stuff
used to be called the Harrisburg sportsman show, then 2-3 yrs ago, they got pissy about having certain vendors there and it got boycotted
and that ended a 30+ yrs run of it at that name and brand
the NRA is a big part of it now and way more gun friendly event now!
but it still holds all sorts of outdoors things
will be vendors from around the world
if you have never been there is a great show to spend a full day wandering around
there is also a Bass Pro shop near by, and a few other like larger chain like stores
if you go, go early as it gets PACKED and parking can be a far walk, or your taking the buses they have running from lot to lot all day non stop
a few dozen buses all day, so not too bad
they even do trips starting from BASS PRO to the show too
ok I know this isn’t a really big GUN site

Just thought I would stick a gun review here on a CHEAP rifle
was bored the last few weeks and decided to pick up a Mossberg Patriot rifle in 22-250, as they have a decent look to them and was in the looking for a cheap beater walking 22-250,
so stopped in a local shop and had them order me one, rifle cost me $338.00 out the door tax and all, came with weaver bases on the gun
gun has a fluted barrel and a spiral fluted bolt and a adjustable trigger
I stuck a cheap-ish Cabela"s brand 2.5-10×50,30 mm tubed scope on it
and took rifle out to my range today to see how it shoots
have a lot of reloaded 22-250 on hand in a few different loads
rifle shot very well for the price point, sub 1 inch groups with everything, with NO fav load I had, most would be covered with a quarter at 100 yrds
no flyers at all, they all grouped in like patterns
nice clusters, no lines or strings or such!, several hole for hole groups and then one out a hair out , (left right high low)no real pattern to the one opening up the group
did all 3 shot groups too, about 60 rounds
was about 20 degree’s out and very low winds off a good bench and rest
barrel cooled really fats with the low temps, so not much time needed between groups!
SO< for a 300 dollar rifle more or less , MINE shoots very well
and MIGHT get better once I bed it and try some different loads on fired brass now !
Do any of y’all that have well water have a maintenance program such as chlorination? I have a well we use occasionally, it has a submersible pump that we pulled out and the intake was covered with rust sediment. What I was wondering does anyone have a simple method of treatment without breaking my wallet. Thanks for the replies
Daughters travel team Vball started the season today, so tonight we were in the stands watching and noticed court next to us came to a stop, some commotion, that naturally caught everybody’s attention. Our team was in a time out so that whole side of the gym was watching to figure out what was going on next door.
That other teams coach ran to the stands and asked if any ladies happened to have a tampon they could use…okay, now everybody is watching because, wtf??!! Lol. So gal throws out a tampon, coach pops out the cotton on the run back to her teams huddle on court and then you saw a girl with a profusely bloody nose that won’t stop, coach starts jamming the tampon cotton up the girls nostril…okay, blood stopped.
Team breaks to begin play and here’s this girl with a tampon stuffed nostril running to her position….with the Damn string swaying back and forth hanging down muhahahaha. Thankfully somebody produced a small set of scissors and coach ran on court and cut the string so she didn’t look so god awful peculiar lol.
It was a much needed laugh break for the hundreds of people and players during tense play, and thankfully the girl took it in stride and had a laugh too at the strangness of the situation, but was able to finish the game. Then poor kid ended up being carried off court about 7:15, she musta rolled her ankle good so that was the end of her play.
