Just installed snorkel and dying HELP

So I have a 06 foreman 500s with a hmf performance series exhaust and jet kit i installed the snorkel myself yesterday I used two 1 1/2" 45s about 18 inches of straight 1 1/2" PVC coming out of the air box, then I used a rubber coupler to convert from 1 1/2" to 2" I used about a foot of 2 " a 2" 90 a little more 2" and then 45 I goes straight up about 2 feet and then a 2" 90 on the end. I will be driving down the road at any speed consistent throttle for about 2-4 minutes and it’ll start sputtering and die, it takes me about 5 minutes to get it running again and then it just repeats (smells like it’s flooding) if anyone has any idea why it’s doing this please reply. I also plugged the overflow on the carb and extended the vent lines.

Need some clutch help/advise

I finally found out what blowing a belt feels like during a ride last weekend (Belt lasted 2000 miles so I’m not complaining about that). However it did make a mess in the clutch housing so I decided to take the clutches out to clean them and inspect them before take the machine out of town this weekend. I found 2 things with the driven clutch that worry me.

1.) The spacer between the two sheaves has about an 1/8" of play side to side. Is this normal or has my spider nut backed off? Picture attached.

2.) One of the button towers on the movable sheave has a small piece broken off at the top (possibly from when the belt broke?), will this affect the balance of the clutch enough to cause other problems or does this mean the clutch is junk? Pictures attached.

I want to take the rzr with me on a trip we are taking this weekend, is this clutch still usable? Also any thoughts on if Polaris will warranty it or if I’m S.O.L.?

Perfex Suspening Kit for 350 Bruin

I’ve heard and read about the Perfex kit for a while now. I had talked with someone regarding the kit some time back and there is no kit for the Brin.

After doing some research I’ve found out the Wolverine 450 and 350 Bruin share a similar frme. The main thing that I’ve found is that the Bruin has a lip/bracket welded to the upper front rail to install the rad. They both share the same part on the rear where the shock mount is located. A-arms are an exact match as well.

Decided to take a gamble and order a kit for the Wolverine.

There are two plates that attach to the upper rail, in front of the gas tank, where the shocks are mounted. I had to cut and grind them in order to get them to fit properly. Long story short, it was a beach of a job but it can be done!

Also had to make some makeshift bushings for the lower shock mounts as well. Other than these mods I’m hoping it’ll all work fine.

I did take it for a short scook this evening on the main road but have to try it on the trail. They’re still snow covered so it’ll be a while yet before I can hit some dirt with the kit.

The quad is rather quick on its stering with the Perfex kit. From my short ride it appears to be smoother but I’ll know more once I’m able to take it off road with the rough stuff. I did find a few bumps etc. and it appears to be smoother than before. Again, I’ll know more once I have some trail time in.

Anyone out there know if the Wolverine 450 and Bruin have different front shock lengths or whether they ‘re are the same length?

I’ll be sure to keep you all posted on my findings.

eletic shift problem

Ok i got a 2011 irs 420 it sat up for a few months while i was working on it i ended up takeing the battery out to put in my oawpaws 350 cause his went out well when i got it back up and going i noticed that it is shifting from 3rd to 5th and sometimes it gets stuck and give me a – without me shifting it can a bad battery conection be the problem cause i had to tightrn them up one day and it started working right then all of a sudden it started acting up its not throwing a code are nothing and i have a 32% gr but that seems to be working good

Check Engine code 51

Was getting a code for stuck throttle….

Pulled every connection on the machine I could find, cleaned them all and applied dielectric grease. Now I’m getting code 51….but the machine seems to run fine.

Did a search…doesn’t seem like a common problem on these machines. On other machines such as the ranger it could be all sorts of issues from a broken wire on the TPS to a bad fuel pump.

Any thoughts?
