Magnum 325 dies after it warms up

Have a ’01 Magnum 325. For a while the "hot" light had been on, even when it was just starting up. It would run for a little while then die. Now I can’t even get it to start. Is there like a kill switch on it when it gets too hot? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Xplorer 400 won’t idle

I have a ’98 or ’99 (it was manufactured in Jan’98) Xplorer 400 2 stroke. I just replaced the head gasket & went to work on the carb. I bought a rebuild kit for it. It wouldn’t hardly run with the stock size Main Jet (200) & the stock Pilot Jet (35) that came with the kit. I had previously bought a 175 & 185 Main Jet. It does real good with the 175 but I put the 185 back in for fear of running it too lean. I pulled the pilot jet that was in there and it was a 30. I bought a 27.5 pilot jet. I can’t get the thing to idle and it doesn’t runs rough in lower half of the throttle. Half throttle and up it does real well with the 175 or 185 Main Jets. I’ve messed with the "air" screw with no noticeable change. I have also messed with the "idle" screw with the same results. It won’t idle without me giving it some throttle and it runs rough.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is our work horse and we need the beast back. FYI, it has never run real good since we got it.

Intermittent clunking from front wheel

I`ve searched the forum and found a few similar problems but I`m a newbie so I`d liked to post my exact problem since it is quite frustrating.

I have a 2006 CANAM 400 XT

I periodically get a bad clunking from my front left wheel. It is bad enough that you can feel it in the steering. It feels like a binding almost like the tire treads are hitting on the frame or gear is binding. Once it starts it seems to keep occurring. But it is not consistent. It seemed to be fine on flat hard terrain like a dirt road. I noticed some grease on universal joint boot so brought it to the dealer. Dealer said UV joints where worn and replaced both front axles. Not cheap!

Well it seemed ok for a bit and then the same exact problem started occurring again. Of course I`m concerned because both axles were replaced by the dealer but the problem I reported is clearly not solved. I brought it back and unfortunately the dealer found no fault since they could not reproduce the problem.

Recently the problem seemed very easy to reproduce. Again only on the left side. Driving on snow and ice seemed more noticeable but it didn`t require load or hills or turning to reproduce as I thought initially. In fact it even occurred in both 2W and 4W drive. So decided again to bring it back to the dealer. On the day I was bringing it in I decided to take it for a quick ride before loading it. Sure enough the problem is no longer occurring. Of course I really don`t want to bring it in again if I cannot reproduce this problem. Any ideas that might help or suggestions on what the problem is?

No power

I’ve got an 09 outlander 800 with a HMF swamp series slip on and a snorkel kit. . Ran good until cousin overheated it twice in the woods and now there’s almost no engine power oil is foamy and smells like gas and exhaust smells rich. But there is no engine light on at all. . And some times hard start when cold…thinking the rings are washed out

Want synthetic rope for winch Which brand?

I’m mounting up a Provantage 2500 to my 14 Grizz 700 and I want to replace the cable with synthetic rope. I believe I need 3/16" 50′ long. Question is…is there a preferred brand and where is the best place to buy it (best price)?

The winch will be seldom used on this Grizz. Occasionally used for pulling logs, pulling fence and plowing in the winter. That’s about it.

Getting my first atv

hey guys just looking for some info. I want to get my first atv. I currently ride an 05 crf150f, and I’m very comfortable on my dads rancher 350, but they both
feel a little sluggish, so i want to get a sport quad. I want one that can take a lot of abuse, as I like to ride hard. I’ve been looking at some trx 400’s, and they seem to sell for pretty cheap. Would this be a good quad to start on, seeing that I already have experience?

1987 TRX 350 Problem

Hi there, my ancient machine (engine) starts to cough once running at operating temp. Only way to keep from stalling is to put choke on 1/2 to full. Engine seems to run better cold. Although after running for 5 or ten mins idle speed starts to fluctuate greatly? Just started engine from cold… it fired up then promptly quit had to restart which has been usual lately especially when temp is +5 deg celsius current temp or colder ever since carb was rebuilt with new jets etc last fall at Honda dealer. New honda carb not being made for my machine. Did check my batt got 12+ volts. Have replaced fuel pump in the past, could it be causing my problem? Read about cut out relay?? sounds complicated!!!! Also had CDI replaced about 2 or 3 yrs ago. Can feel pulse in pump. is there an easy way to check it? Any help appreciated!

rear valve cover

so quick question here, im adjusting my valves on my gen1 renegade, I cannot seem to get the rear valve cover out,
ive done valves before on my outlander and didn’t seem to have this problem
I cant get it out on either side
ive searched all over google and forums and cannot find any info on removing them just reseting valves
only way I see is to remove rear head pipe?

2 Up Seat

Does anyone know if the 2up seat will fit the new 2015 XMR 1000? Dealer has no idea and no seat to try. The new design under storage box looks like it will fit.
