just got a 96 trailblazer for my daughter the quad has only a pull starter and she is to week from only playing with her phone and video games to start it on her own. there looks to be a block off plate for a starter. is it possible to add a starter, battery ect. is there gearing inside the case for it? thanks
My scrambler has been having an intermittent problem with the 4×4. I seem to loose power to the the awd switch randomly. The other day after some hard riding through some deep muddy water I lost power to the switch. It wasn’t lit up.
I pulled the side of the trail and after some time it started working again. I didn’t have anymore problems the rest of the day even in the same mud hole.
I had this happen the last snow we had. Same symptoms. The light went out and came back on after some time had passed.
I’m in the process of going through the wiring and I can’t find anything wrong. Everything I’ve check with the ohm meter has been fine. Only thing that was an issue was the connection to the hubs were pretty gunked up. I can’t repeat the problem in the garage so it’s hard to track it down. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what the culprit could be. I don’t want to have to be pulled out by my friends Yamaha again he already won’t let me live it down :aargh4:
I hope this is the right section for this question. I have a 2014 non Eps 700. I don’t have the time to ride and would like to get my money out of this bike. It has 35 hours and 260 miles. How much do y’all think I can ask for? The specs are in my signature.
I have an 06 800 and I seem to be turning into my group’s mule so I want to upgrade my homemade plywood box to something better.
I have a general idea of the dimensions of the Outfitter, but I am curious as how it "feels" to others. Is it to big and bulky, cumbersome, etc..
Any input is appreciated.
Hi all, working on my sportsman500 4×4, ordered new outer tie rod ends and cv boots for the front. The new tie rod ends are greaseless and look nothing like the originals, i read they stopped making them with the grease zerk but wanted to make sure these will work, Also, the pin that holds the front shaft to the differential will not come out, i broke a punch after soaking it with pb blaster repeatedly. I’m guessing i can change it by just taking the cv joint apart while it is still on the quad or should i try to get a stretchable boot and go that route? thanks

Picked up our new Sportsman 570 today. Never owned one before. Brand new, EFI, base model for $5300 plus tax and title.
So the dealer is telling me to keep it in low gear unless I am consistetnly over 25mph such as on a trail. Does this sound right? The manual says anything ounder 7mph to keep in low gear. Whats the popular wisdom on this?
Hey Guys – Anyone in the NJ-NY–PA area pick up a 2015 XMR lately? I’ve been shopping around and seem to be getting a crazy range of numbers. The highest was 16.5 OTD tax included and lowest was 15.5 OTD tax included. From what I have read on this forum those prices seem way high. I was hoping to see what others have paid in the area.
I’m wondering if it’s just something in the tri-state area or am I missing something? You wouldn’t believe how many dealers I called for pricing and they didn’t even call me back. I scratched them off the list immediately.
