I have a 2015 RZR 900 XC equipped with an Engine Braking System (EBS) which normally does a good job slowing the machine on downhill slopes. However, much to my surprise and dismay, I discovered that on very steep, long sections of sandstone here in Moab, it will actually cause the drive belt to smoke when in four wheel low. Apparently, the traction is so good the tires will not slide and the force on the belt is so strong that it begins to slip and heat up.
Once hot, the belt stuck to the clutch and would not let go. The only way for me to change gears was to shut off the engine, shift and then restart the engine. Fortunately, once the belt cooled down, everything returned to normal and it appears no permanent damage was done. I now shift into four wheel high on steep downhills and use the brake to control speed.
Just received my order…wondering how I switch out my goggle lens from clear to the extra tinted one I ordered. I assume the original clear lens has to come out. Any tips so I don’t break anything? thanks!
Finally got the motor pulled, now going to work on the through shaft..
It’s only a $100 more for a better through shaft.
Now gorilla has lifetime warranty, but I’ve heard it doesn’t have the notch for the c-clip..
I read that performance atv’s does have the notch but i don’t know if they have a life time warranty.
Or just get the oem one.. Which doesn’t appeal me since I’m hard on my stuff..
I’m pretty much going to give a whole make over while this bahimeth of a motor is out.

I will soon be purchasing a set of 28 terms and 14 rims for my 570. What do I need to fit them? A 2 inch lift? A arms? I want to stay in a lower range price if possible. Thanks so much
Looking to put some bigger wheels/tires on my 2014 800 S. I found a set of 1000 wheels/tires I’d like to try-29X9X14 and 29X11X14. I don’t know the year of the Rzr 1000 yet. The bolt pattern appears to be the same-4X156 on both. Will these fit? Do I need different lug nuts? Anything else I should know before doing this? My wheels are stock-27X9X12 and 27X11X12. Thanks for any help. Yes, I know about the clutching, etc. That’s the next upgrade if these will fit.
Sportsman 500 2010 I have two nipples on the air box that hoses come from the oil reservoir and some where else . Has anyone redirected these to somewhere else or not. Like a catch can. So the oils and stuff doesn’t go on the air filter. Just curious might do it some how.
I have a friend who has a 2014 Rancher and really needs a little more ground clearance. Can he add larger tires without affecting the warranty. He did purchase the extended warranty at time of purchase. He has a 2014 Honda Rancher with power steering and an automatic transmission with a solid rear axle. Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
