Going to the dragstrip sat. any advise?

Taking my 14′ 1000xt outlander to the dragstrip Saturday. It is stock with a vforcejohn primary. Any guesses on what it will run? I’m worried I won’t b able to keep the front end down without letting off. Even leaning over the bars it wants to wheelie. I have 28" tires on it and I’m putting 26" on for the strip which should only make it worse. Anyone strapped the suspension down in the front like they do on bikes? I’ve raced mustangs so I’m familiar with the track but just looking for ideas! It’s all for fun but it’s always fun trying to get all ya can out of her! I better not call vforcejohn or I’ll definitely end up with a pipe and tuner! Lol thanks for any ideas

1998 Polaris Sportsman 400L

Hi, I have a 1998 Polaris Sportsman 400 liquid cooled, 2 cycle quad. Its been a great quad and runs great. Recently I had it on a good ride and hit some heavy mud spots. After getting it cleaned up and put new fluids in it, I realized it had a small amount of anti-freeze seeping from the lower right side on the case near the water pump. The hole looked like a bleeder type of hole that was made in the case. It quit doing it after riding it for a little bit but just concerned what that was or if it would get worse. Any suggestions?

Looking for new ATV

Hey all i’m from NJ my name is Jay T. and I am in the market for a new ATV. Yes everyone might think im crazy for being 13 and I am looking for a big machine. I have a good amount of experience and I am almost 6 feet. I have been looking at the Arctic Cat, Can Am, Honda, pretty much all of em including Suzuki. I live in rural new jersey and I do not live in the city. I don’t want any biased stuff on here but I have heard a lot of good things so I know a lot of people have can ams on here and such. Also by the way I am buying this with all my own money IN CASH. Yes I have a lot saved up but I am putting half toward a truck so it will be enough. I currently have an 04 yamaha blaster and I know I can handle the big machines. I want something with all the features, EPS, IRS, you get the point. Also I have experience in fixing ATV’s as well. I am not sure what really to get but I looked into Can Am’s the most as of right now and it really has me hooked on especially with the 5 year warranty. It seems that can am has the most power. I was also looking at the Polaris ACE 570 too I want something that is very comfortable and got a very nice speed and is good in the mud, and good at plowing snow. Thanks ya’ll. I also have some concerns about the reliability and heat issues on the newest Sportsman 570.

How long have your axles been clacking?

I have a 13 xp 900 with 1700 miles. Noticed some clacking coming from the rear end so I took it to the local cycle shop and he said the splines in the axles were starting to wear. He packed them with grease and said it might last a while or might not last long at all. So I did some searching and noticed it’s a pretty common thing. I’m just curious how long everybody waited to get new axles or jus keep a clacking…….
