Lift kit for 2012 Rancher AT

I’m thinking about putting a Hijacker 2" lift on my Rancher AT.

I have 25" tires and not planning on going bigger. The lift will be for nothing else except to look a little better.

How much will the 2" lift affect the handling and will it just put the axles in more of a bind?

If it will just make it more top heavy and bind everything up then I wont be putting one on there because Its only going to be a cosmetic thing anyway.

Rear width, what i did

I didnt like that the trail model 900 is almost 52 inches wide in the back. I want to go on 50 inch gated trails and not have to squeeze through and hope i fit. I put an 8 inch wdte tire on the rear and didnt like the way it looked at all. I found some reviews that stated the 9 inch black diamond tires measure 8 inches when mounted so i gave it a try. I put 26x9x12 black diamond xtr on the rear and that made it a good inch narrower than the stock pxt. I am just a hair over 50 1/2 inches wide. Still over 50, but i feel i have done all i can do to stay within the rules. The only thng i might do different would be to go with a 27 inch tire if the mounted width was the same as these tires run short. Thanks for looking. Like it or hate it, just wanted to share what i did.

New used 2011 Grizzly 450. Questions and advice.

Just purchased a 2011 Grizzly 450 with 560mi. Installed a Warn winch. Looking at placing a Uni filter on it and if so, do I need to adjust the jets? Want to make sure I don’t go too lean? I am at 1k feet above sea level and want make sure its jetted well. The next item is shim/spring. Live in KY so we have Hills etc. Will keep the factory tires for awhile. If I get another set in the future, will not go extreme. What shim/spring combo should I go with. Seems like the stock setup keeps the rpms a bit high. Looking at fabricating a rear rack seat cover to hall a few people as needed. Any other suggested mild mods/accessories?

Belt change Sportsman 400?

How do you change the belt on a 2014 Sportsman 400? Do you pull up in it and roll the secondary until it works off, or do you use the tool to open up the secondary? I’m asking because I’m about to install a clutch kit I ordered from RVS and knows I will need to remove the belt and put it back on. Thanks in advance

Which key should i start with from new

On my new 1000, during the break in time, should i start off with the grey key, or black, or does it even matter??? The salesman, said i should get used to it, using the grey key, i’ve used the black, and have no problems, but im just curious about your opinions on what you did.

2012 sportsman a-arm

just changed the bushings and shaft in my 2012 sportsman 500ho, I am the second owner and it has 3000 miles. The right hand side it tight no play at all, the passenger side has forward back play about half an inch. Is it possible its the wrong arm? the new shaft was the same size of the old shaft
