I put a new Aluminum radiator in my 2007 sportsman 800 now the fan will turn on once it gets up to temp but it will not turn off. The thermostat is working. I changed the relay and that did not help. The fan turned off before. Should I change the Thermister temp switch? Any Help Please!
hey new to the forum, semi new to atvs, this is my first polaris.
bought it and it was a total POS. spend a good chunk of change making it look pretty and throwing some new parts at it. and it looks great
well the past couple days here in south texas, its been getting a little chilly (50*-70* and im already wearing hoodies and freezing), and the polaris has been having a SUPER hard time starting. i figured a pinched fuel line or the carb was dirty, no big deal. so i pulled the carb, cleaned it up (it wasnt that dirty), and the hose wasnt kinked and the gas is brand new.
once it finally gets started…it runs fantastic
any ideas?
also it has been puking oil from the "direct injection" oil pump. all the lines are hooked up tight, its brand new oil and the lines arent kinked
My stock radiator had a hole in it so I replaced it with a aluminum radiator. Now the fan will not stop running. Any ideas why??? Once it heats up it will turn on but not off. I have to turn the machine off let it cool then back on. It is not overheating that I know of. Its a 2007 polaris sportsman Deluxe

2013 sportsman 500ho oK went for a ride while riding at night I notice the lights dimming down ever so often didn’t think much of it thought it was just the fan comming on till it stopped doing it the. Said well what the fu…? Fan came on after I shit the bike off
Is the SATV 5" kit pretty trail friendly? how about steering is it a little harder to turn? Reason for asking still want to use the bike for the 50" capability and not be super wide or destroy axle boots (by them heating up) driving down regular and tight trails. Have an 08 800 50" wanting to lift it but still be able to have fun in with with either me driving or my girlfriend being able to still drive it.
Wanting to maybe put 30’s under it or 31’s. Or anyone have any luck with smaller lifts without having to buy axles right away and getting by with stock axles for a little while?
