Different prices on belts ?

This is crazy I thought one dealer 30 miles from me quoted me 179.00 for a new belt I thought this was high so I thought I would call the other dealer that’s also 30 miles the other way from me and it was 135.00 so needless to say I will be buying the cheaper one I made sure it was the same belt they are both OEM it’s for a 800 max 2012

Roller channel wear, what is acceptable?

I bought this primary sheave as a spare so I could experiment with machining the face and seal hump. I had it shipped to me as the guy selling it was several hours away. I cleaned all the grease out of it today and the roller channels are worn about .015" at the inside on some and about .005" on others. My original sheave has around 1000km on it and shows no wear whatsoever so I don’t really have a point of reference. It also looks like the bushing has been hot. It measures at 1.3796 (35.042mm) at the outside and 1.3791 (35.029mm) at the inside. I couldn’t find the specs in the service manual. Anyone have any input?

Cleaning XMR

Got back from riding my new xmr last weekend and it was caked in mud. Initially i washed it on the way home at the car wash. Tried my best to get all the caked mud later on out of the skid plates on the bottom. It’s pretty much impossible. Any suggestions?

2012 outlander 800xt build

Figured I would share my build I started in the fall of 2014, as any project it will never be complete.
I purchased a bone stock used 2012 outlander 800xt with just over 1000km on the speedo. Attachment 27101Attachment 27102

First mod before riding was a SPI slip-on pipe, excellent slip-on and very pleased with it, looks great and sounds awesome.
Attachment 27103

First mods was to make it look like a 800xmr with the brp rad relocate and snorkel kit, also at the same time installing fox podium XXC shocks, highlifter MGC a-arms and extended trailing arms. Best way getting to know a new machine is taking it all apart :)Attachment 27104Attachment 27105

99 500 sportsman Qs

Hey guys, I might be a polaris owner by the end of the week. Going to check out a 99 500, 2500 km, green, pictures show it well. The guy says the 4×4 doesn’t work and it’s electrical related, just wondering if it’s a well known issue or its some switch/solenoid/ random wire mess.
also anything else you can tell me about the quad would be sweet. I don’t know much about them

Gummer

Buying new ATV in the next 1-2 months

Hey all I posted a couple months ago how I was looking to get a new ATV, as you know I have made my decision and it has come down to the 570 With EPS and the Polaris Pursuit Camo. Im gonna get the 5 year warranty and I feel like the Polaris seems to be a good solid reliable quad. My local dealer is Ledgewood Powersports in New Jersey and seems to be a good reliable dealership (oldest dealer in NJ)
