Won’t crank

Ok so this past Sunday I was making a ride and I was leading the group since everyone was scared to lead. Well I decided to take what I thought was a go around on the trail because the trail looked rough. As I was on the go around making my way back to the main trail. I hit a hole. I managed to stop my grizzly from going all the way in by bailing over the front rack into the hole and catching the front of it. Well it still started to sol and end up about at an 80 degree lean towards the right front. Well it ran like that for aapproximately 45 seconds then died. Was able to crank it after that but died before being able to get it in gear and out the hole. So now here I am I’ve gone as far as I can on my own. I’ve checked for water in my oil, air intake, and spark plug. I’ve checked my lean sensor and it seems to still be working. The engine is turning over nothing appears to sound locked up. Its just not firing up. Any input is very much appreciated. I’m just trying to avoid bringing it to the shop.

Question/possible problem removing primary clutch

Can you guys please take a look at this and tell me what I am doing wrong? I am trying to remove the primary on my 2012 xp 900 and it isn’t coming off for me.

Check out the pics below :

I don’t think the outer main piece of the clutch should be pulling away from the other back piece of the clutch so much?? So I stopped and came here I have never pulled a CVT clutch off before want to make sure I dont screw anything up.. I am using the info from this youtube video :

But it isn’t coming off the same as in the video… any help would be greatly appreciated I am going to take a break for a bit and see what you guys have to say.. thanks

Front end noise!

For a while now I’ve been having a popping noise in the front end that’s getting worse. It sounds like the inside off the diff. I had it in the shop for the 25hr service an they couldn’t replicate it. Now when I get in mud, water or sad basically any load it pops really loud and feels like it’s having trouble spinning the front 2 tires. Well I sent to the shop agin and told them to rip the front diff apart, they wanted to go riding to replicate the problem and I wasn’t comfortable with that. So they ripped it apart and found nothing wrong, warranty has nothing to cover so I’m stuck with a $450 dollar bill. Anybody had issues like this

Hope I didnt do any real damage

Came out to Uwharrie this weekend. We got a good 4 hour riding yesterday with no issues.
About an hour in today in some SLOPPY red clay mud (it rained a good part of the morning) I noticed that the normal clacking noise on the right side (08 sportsman 800) seemed to be getting louder.
Then it sounded like the exhaust was getting loud.
I shut it off and the oil was pouring out the bottom of the machine.
I know I didn’t hit anything hard and the skid plates were in place anyway.
Got pulled back to the parking area, about a mile up the damn mountain… did I mention SLOPPY red mud?

Finally got it up on the trailer and get to looking and damn drain plug is missing.
I changed the oil when I got it last year and didn’t have 10 hours on the oil, but it’s not like I changed it yesterday either.

I just hope to God I didn’t destroy my motor.

3″in outkast

Was wondering if anyone has done the outkast 3" lift for the 1000 sportsman yet? I want to try it with 29.5 outlaw 2’s… I’ve seen some say it’s a great lift and I’ve seen some bad reviews… Thanks
Looking at the raked lift

new guy from ohio

Just wanted to say hi. Just bought my first utility quad, 05 sportsman hunter 800 efi. I got tired of beating on my JD GT245 garden tractor plowing my driveway and had an 08 Outlaw 450mxr that I bought new and put less than 25hrs on it so I sold it and bought something I could at least get some use out of in the winter. It’s a little beat up and needs a couple things replaced so I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot of reading on here.

Backwoods Armor still in business?

Anybody know if Backwoods Armor is still around? I think the owners name is John? I’ve been trying to reach them for a week now… left several voicemails and several e-mails and nothing. Wondering if they’re out of the business since their site doesn’t show any XP1000 stuff.
