just curious as to whether or not these are a direct bolt on or do you have to drill out the steering knuckle to install them? also will they work with forward a arms?

Just picked up a Sportsman 300 4×4 for my son and have a few questions. What kind/size tires should I get for him. We trail ride mostly with occasional mud. Well he loves mud. Also do they make A-arm guards for the 300. Do they have a bumper for the front? This our first Polaris and I am not familiar with this brand. Thank you!

HELP Slip on exhaust
Got a Big Gun slip on for my 2014 420 rancher, but the stock exhaust is solid pipe. Do I cut it?
800-1000 cam/helix
are the 800s using the same helix as the 1000s now. broke one on my 2012 800 xmr, and went to buy one and it is the same part number as the 1000s now, online on the can am parts catalogue their is a different number on the 800 helix compared to the 1000. but at the store their computer shows that the 800 number is now substituted for the 1000 number and don’t make the 800 number anymore?
New XMR owner
Just picked up my new 2015 outlander 1000 xmr digital camo to bad I’ve been up since yesterday and to tired to ride it ! Also learned the Xmr wouldn’t fit with my transfer tank/tool box combo in the bed so spend quite awhile today looking for a halfway decent trailer found one was pretty cheap just had to rewire and tag it before I was off to the dealership to get it picked up
heat shield
On my 2013 sportsman 850 I have noticed that the plastic heat shield on the right side (foot brake side) has come in contact with the exhaust pipe, causing slight melting. Anyone else experience this issue.

I got a 06 sportsman 800 efi, whenever i turn either direction dont matter if im at a idle or moving, my rpms rev up. Ive read that it could be the points in the awd switch, but it doesnt idle bad some im thinking it could be a bad cable or need to loosen the cable up some. It seems to be kind of a common thing, but not a 100%. If anyone could give me a few tips or ideas that would be great!! Thanks!

tap/ drill size
working on my Honda Fat Cat proto-type , and I need to drill and tap some allen headed bolts for the bearing retainer mod , I have the tap which is the right size for the bolt as both bolt and tap thread easily into a nut ————–here is the kicker , the thread size is 3/16 -32 threads per inch , I have looked at at least 15 different tap / drill size charts that I have and have found on the net and I have yet to find 3/16 listed , what size bit to use for the tap????
