2015 hood options

I just bought a 2015 rzr 900-4. This is my 3rd rzr, I started with a 2008 800 then I got a 2012 900xp, and now this 2015. I had Maier hoods on first 2 rzr’s and liked the style. What other companies make hoods for this newest bodystyle? I’m not too fond of the Maier hood option. I saw a 2014 rzr 1000 called the Ground Pounder, I couldn’t find the manufacturer of this hood or any others.

’12 Sportsman 500HO SuperATV EZsteer installation question

If you’ve installed the SuperATV EZsteer 380 kit on your Sportsman 500HO how did you mount the control module?

It won’t fit using the stock bolts on the right hand side as directed to in the instructions as the box hits the shock. Do you just drill two holes further back?

I’ve got the steering shaft installed and it was a PITA to get at the bottom bolts, patience indeed to keep from throwing wrenches!

Thanks!

Ken

New RZR owner

I am a avid off-road enthusiast. It just so happens I am a parts manager at a Polaris dealership here in PA. I was strictly into motocross for the longest time, Now that I am about to be 30 yrs old I have started to appreciate the with age get a cage. RZR are great machines, I don’t see myself not having one for the rest of my life. I need to find more places to go riding since I’m relatively new to the RZR owners. If you know of any great places to take a trip to and go riding please let me know.

Question on front axle wobble

I noticed that both axles on the front, have wobble. Where the inner CV joint, the large cup with the splined shaft, goes into the front diff… It has play in it and moves about.

Both rears are tight as a drum after 1000 miles, no wiggle at all.

The front, there is a good bit on both sides.

It feels like when you put a screw that is one size below the size of the hole… It’s in there, but it isn’t a tight fit and wobbles around a good bit.

My assumption here is that the splines are wearing out, but before I start taking it all apart, is this common, something that just happens over time? And if so, is it usually the axle side or the gearbox side that wears out?

MY hope is that the axle side is softer metal and wears out first, being that they tend to need replacement from time to time. I hope it isn’t the gearbox side, as I can imagine what that would cost and probably won’t be covered by my 5 year warranty.

Thoughts?

Just picked up our new 2015 Orange Madness XP1000 from ROSEDALE Motorsports in Albuquerque!

What a great looking color!

We have already started adding the ISOTA Offroad accessories and we hope to have it fully equipped when we arrive in Moab next week! 🙂

Newbie stupid thread with a million questions!

Ok, so here goes: I have never owned a 4 wheeler until now. I have always owned boats and did my own work on them. But these are a whole new animal. First, the backstory. I bought this 2003(not sure) Polaris Predator 500 for $200. The guy said it ran just a couple months before but said it needed a new wiring harness and he got tired of it. So I bought it. I replaced the wiring harness with a used one. Please don’t just say to junk it or that I am a D.A. for buying it because I know that I am! But money is tight and it was all I could afford at the time. Here are my issues:

1.) The carb wasn’t connected. I got it all connected. There were 2 bad vacuum lines(assuming that), so I bought new lines. But I do not know where the other ends of these lines connect to!(laugh now). Pics attached.

2.) The Choke cable is baffling me. It appears that they changed out the carb because I see no spot for the choke cable to mount to! Pics attached.

3.) Ignition was gone. Got one with the wiring harness but once again I do not see where in the world these wires attach to!

4.) There is a wire hanging from the CDI box and don’t know where to connect it.

Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can lend!
