2014 SSR 170 (RZR 170 Clone)

For Sale is our 2014 SSR170 (Rzr 170 Clone) Purchased this last year so the kids can ride with me when I ride my full size Rzr. Kids have not take into this and want ATV instead. So here is a nice kids UTV with some nice upgrades. There is no hr meter but I would say it has between 25-35 hrs total as it has only been ridden in our neighborhood. You can see some of the write ups I have done on this forum under the rzr 170 clone thread.

This is an actual 169cc engine GY6 air cooled with CVT transmission (Forward and Reverse). It will do about 35+ with me in it. We have had no issues with this and it starts right up each time. Only Ethanol Free gas used.

Upgrades:

**23 inch Pitbull Growlers were installed on the factory rims to increase ground clearance. Still new
**Front shocks were upgraded from a Yamaha raptor
**Rear Shocks upgraded from Kawasaki ATV. Both front and rear have preload adjustment and give it a nice ride.

*We modified a ProCircuit Exhaust to fit this. It sounds great and gave it a nice boost in power.
*Clutch was upgraded to give better low end torque.
*Custom made HDPE skid plate made and installed. Almost same material used on full size rzr’s
*Upgraded Battery

If you are concerned this is not a real Rzr, hare are some facts: Polaris does not make the Rzr 170. Its made in china for Polaris. Look inside/underneath a Rzr 170 and this and besides the Polaris sticker they look alike, except this unit has more features and is built tougher. Unlike the Rzr 170 this has dual front A-Arms for better handing. Unlike the RZR 170 which has the engine sit sideways, using a chain tensioner which is prone to fail, this units engine faces forward. This also has a full brush guard bolted to the frame and rear brush guard also mounted to the frame. The SSR is also 6 inches longer then the rzr 170 and has better suspension travel.

Best of all, you can have this unit with upgrades for several thousand less then the Polaris. Not bashing the brand as own several of their full size UTV/ATV’s, just did not want to send that much on a kids unit.

Comes with 2 keys. Title. The LED lights on the front roll bar work. Brake lights work. Has low/High beam projector lights. It has seatbelts. The drivers seat is adjustable. The throttle has a limiter to regulate top speed. The brakes are disc all around. Has a parking brake.

Comes with a spare tire and rim (not pictured) that mounts on the back of the rollbar.

Hate to see this go, but kids are not riding this and want a ATV. Parts are easy to get for this if needed and much cheaper then Polaris but it runs great and needs nothing.

$3400 OBO. Located in South Carolina. PM me for more pics or if you have questions.

Quad Boss (or different brand) RZR Cover

Just Purchased the Quad Boss Cover and it came last week. We had a party at our house and I needed to back my rzr out of the garage, it happened to be raining so I put my new cover on. I was happy because it fit like a glove and loved the zipper on the driver side. I took the cover off to pull the rzr back in and my entire rzr was wet. Not sure if I got a defective cover or if these things really do suck this bad. Anyone else have any experience with these? Are there any covers out there that work better?

2013 XMR 650 Brake Caliper

Does anyone have one for sale? Looking for the rear Brake Caliper assembly. If anyone happens to have a working used one, that would be great. If you know where there are used ones for sale, that would also be awesome.

Question.

What kind of issues would I run into if I just plugged the brake line going to the rear caliper?

Food and Beverages for the trail

Hi all,
Getting ready for the Globe jamboree in AZ. I usually take jerky, trail mix, water, PayDay candy bars, Tootsie Rolls, Big Hunk, you know, stuff that can take a beating in my gear bag. Stuff like potato chips just doesn’t survive. What else have you guys found is good to pack for food and drink that can survive the rigors of a hard rocky trail?

Brake lever Torx size?

Just got a rearview mirror and I’m trying to remove the brake lever so I can slide the mirror’s mount between the brake reservoir and I can’t seem to find the right size Torx. I’ve got a pretty full set of Torx sockets but nothing I have seems to fit correctly (either that or they’re just so cheap I can’t get it to fit). Anyone? 2015 Sportsman 570 BTW.

Elka Stage 5 Package

Overview:
Elka’s new 2.5” Stage 5 platform has been in development for more than 2 years and is now becoming available on the market in limited quantities. The design of this platform is derived from their latest Stage 5 technology allowing a less restricted massive oil flow that provides arguably the smoothest feeling shock ever made for UTVs. With this shock, the suspension feels firm and planted yet smooth enough to absorb all types of impacts using only the travel that is needed without bottoming out, no matter where the shock is in its stroke. Built to withstand the abuse from newer long-travel vehicles, the 2.5” Stage 5 delivers the suspension performance needed for drivers who want to push their limits.

ADJUSTMENTS
LOW-SPEED COMPRESSION : Controls body roll when cornering, rear-end squatting under hard acceleration, front-end diving when braking, riding over whoops at moderate speed, undulations and elevation changes in the terrain
HIGH-SPEED COMPRESSION : Controls landing from big jumps, resistance to harsh or sudden square-edged impacts, riding at high-speed over whoops, vibration when riding at very high speed or when riding over choppy terrain and tire tracks
REBOUND : Controls the speed at which the shock absorbers return to their fully extended position after being compressed from an impact, keeping the wheels on the ground for maximum traction and reducing the bucking effect caused by the spring pressure pushing back after an impact
SPRING PRELOAD : Lets the driver fine-tune the initial force applied on the springs and precisely balance the weight distribution across the front and rear wheels while setting up the ride height (ground or chassis clearance) and to lower or raise the vehicle to adapt to various situations or to suit your personal preference
ADJUSTABLE CROSS-OVER RING : Provides precise adjustment of the transition from the dual-rate springs to the main spring, allowing fine tuning of the plush initial portion of the wheel travel vs. firmer spring platform deeper in the travel to resist bottoming

TECHNICAL FEATURES

  • Massive 2.5” (56mm) aluminum body and reservoir, allowing huge oil displacement providing smooth, plush and precise damping
  • Low-friction Teflon-coated body (PTFE)
  • Sturdy, induction-hardened 3/4” (19mm) steel shaft
  • Hard anodized billet machined aluminum components

Available with valving tuned for Desert Racing, XC Racing, MX Racing, Dune Riding, Recreational / Trail Riding.

RZR 1000 Fox Edition – Front Bumper

I am looking for a full front bumper that also protects the headlights. I’ve looked at most of the ones from major accessory companies and none of them seem to fit the Fox Edition.
Does anyone out there know where I can buy a front bumper / brush guard that will fit the Fox Edition machine?
