Cant get cable off my polaris winch?

I feel a little dumb asking this but I am replacing my steel cable with a synthetic rope. Ive only helped do this a couple times so maybe I’m missing something. the one’s Ive done the cable just comes off. Mine seems to be wedged or attached to winch. There is a small piece of metal wedged between cable and side of wheel. Ive tried pulling sliding and pushing that piece and nothing.

Ive googled this and most cables just come right off on video or they dont show them removing it.

I have an 2012 polaris sportsman pursuit with a polaris winch. Pretty sure its a 3500.

Any ideas

trx350 centrifugal clutch one way bearing question?help please

ok so after having problems with my electric shift I ordered new parts stipped full thing down and I put it all back together however the centrifugal clutch with the one way bearing in it fell and the bearing all came apart I put it all back together again but instead of it only letting me turn it one direction it is totally solid and doesn’t let me turn any direction?????? is there a certain way that the one way clutch sprag bearing type things go back in ? have I done something wrong? I have stripped the full clutch down again just wondering if theres a knack to putting the bearing things back together on the sprag bearing thing?????????????????? any input would be great cheers ….

ohh and before anyone mentions it I did put the sprag clutch in the correct way up tried both ways actually just incase.

PC-5 rev limiter?

I have a turboed 900XP with a PC-5. When I’m pinned at 11 lbs of boost I hit the rev limiter. This is supposed to be a 13lb turbo kit. I went into PC 5 and found the Rev Xtend parameter and it says 9000 and the "key" box beside it not light up so i can’t change it. The problem is, it’s on the limiter at 8450 by the gauge in the dash. Anyone know what’s going on? Thanks, Dan

Fixing camper water damage?

Anyone have opinions on buying water damaged trailers?

I found a triple axle toy hauler for pretty darn cheap, but it has a LOT of water damage in the nose portion. Its a bumper pull WW toy hauler and it looks like the siding has opened up on both sides of the front of the trailer. The owner says the front bedroom probably needs to be completely pulled out for inspection. Sounds like quite a bit of woodwork.

Its a fiberglass shell and probably has stick framing and plywood. I would probably need to pull all the wood out and start fresh – studs and OBS. The fiberglass shell looks good but i would need to pull it back in and reseal it.

Any opinions would be appreciated. This might be a good opportunity to go from camping in my car hauler.

1995 mid eccentric bearing ?

Hi All,
I have a 1995 sportsman 400 4×4.
Machine has about 1000 miles on it ,but I have no idea how much service the eccentrics received as far as greasing etc prior to me buying it.
Anyway,on a ride the other day we got into some sand and shortly there after i heard alot of noise from the frnt end (shrieking and grinding)
You could feel it in your feet ,which generally would mean it was caused by something fairly directly connected to the frame.
The noise would come up mostly in 4 with the wheels turned ,so I assumed it was being made worse by the torque of the locked front end.
I wasnt far from the truck so I put it back in 2 and drove the mile back .
In the shop today I noticed the front chain had considerable slop ,so I adjusted it ,and tested it in the yard,noise still there,came back to shop and found chain loose again.
But this time I could pull on the chain and see the mid eccentric shaft move about a 1/4 inch in the bearing.

Thoughts on bearing price?
Should i pull the whole eccentric and change both bearings?

So,,long story short,naturally this is a problem I’ll have to fix asap before using it again,but could I be missing the mark and should I be looking for other causes of this noise as well?
Does anyone else have experience with worn out eccentric bearings and is this a common issue and does it sound to you like this is fairly likely the cause?
Obviously Ill change the bearings and if the sound is gone,well no prob and im on my way.
Ujoints and wheel bearings are all fine,I checked them.

Anyone know any tricks for getting a new compressedtire back into shape

Changing a tire on my lawnmower. New tire compressed during shipping. Let sit out overnight still odd shape. Bead too far from rim to inflate. Tried putting tire in front of heater to warm it up. Didn’t help. Have sitting in sun, Hope this helps this afternoon.

Anyone have any tricks for getting tires close enough back into shape to mount. Tried spraying starter fluid around rim and igniting, gap too large to seal

dual autotune need help!

I just install dual autotune and it is not working.On my pc you can see the idle and afr1 and 2 but the autotune light dont want to go on.

i configure the autotune with 2 sensors.

i did a target afr but when i send the map.

”this map has incompatible fuel tables for the device. this map uses multiple O2 sensors and requires fuel tables to be cylinder advanced.

firmware is 1.0.6.4

the autotune module is blinking 3 times for 3 shots and then stay on when i start the atv.
i am limited in english so maybe i dont understand everything……….
