I thought about doing a picture write up, unfortunately after I had assembled everything, so sorry about that. The process wasn’t bad, just time consuming, actually it’s fairly simple once you have the motor out..
Picked my through shaft at performance atv, which by the way were awesome at helping me and very fast with shipping. I replaced my seals while I was in there too..
So here’s some of the task yesterday, sorry I don’t know how to put all the pictures on one page.
The kicker will be mounting the motor back on the bike by myself.. And again sorry I thought I had more pictures.
I’m looking to get a set of wheels on my 2015 sportsman 850. I plan on getting 28" zillas for tires. What would be the best offset that will allow me to keep the wheels under the fenders yet provide enough clearance from the suspension. I want them to be as tucked as possible without rubbing. Thanks
So I rolled my 2012 TRX400X, that I’ve had for 2 days, down a hillclimb yesterday. I’m thankful I had my buddy’s with my to get it off me . She rolled 2 complete times down the hill after my friend pulled it off me. I rode all the way home after the incident fine, the handlebars on the side of the clutch got bent a little too.i Let it cool down a little before i washed it off. After, I went to start it and let the clutch out in neutral and it stalled right out like I was in gear or something. I’m clearly in neutral. It’s still shifts through all the gear off and running I just need to keep the clutch held in. When I put it in first and try going it doesn’t grab. I would say it’s my clutch. But I feel as if it’s something else because it won’t stay running in neutral with the clutch out. I shouldn’t have to keep the clutch held in while in neutral… This quad is practically brand new the clutch was crisp before. If anyone has any ideas on what I did to it and what could be wrong. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I have an 08 outlander 400XT and have the coolant leaking out of the weephole, i got all the parts to repair but was wondering if I had to pull the motor to do so? I know on the twins you can replace the seal only but on the 400 the seal is on the shaft. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I know this is a ATV site but Ive seen a few snowmobile questions. So I’m hoping someone can tell me the dry weight of pre 2006 ski doo tundra.
I’m trying to decide between buying an older tundra ( decent used one’s are 2000 to 6000 ) or one of the new polaris voyager , which new a basic model is around 7500. The polaris 550 is about 460 the polaris 600 is about 495. I’ve done a few searches and cant find a weight for tundra.
This is important because I’m planning on doing some deep ( I live in central Ontario Canada, so lots of wilderness and great Canadian shield and lots of dead cell phone areas) woods ice fishing to isolated lakes. The older tundra can almost be picked up and moved a few feet if your stuck by yourself. So really big part of my decision will be based on is if polaris is fairly easy to move by yourself as well.
I have a 2006 Grizzly 660 I’m working on. It was brought to me in shambles and I’m almost done.
My issue is the coolant overflow. I have a line that is pissing when the engine warms up, I assume it goes to an overflow reservoir which is missing but I can’t find one on the phiche.
Is there supposed to be a reservoir bottle; and if so what phiche is it on or what’s the part number?

Front diff wires pinched in steering stop just above diff. Is this common? Looks like factory routing puts them dangerously close to the steering stop. Was not sure how to search this one for thread history. Would warranty cover this?
