In some older Rzr fire threads they reference aftermarket versus factory installed heat shields. What year did Polaris start installing the proper heat shields? It seems like they started doing it around ’12. I have a ’13 xp4 (in storage so I can’t look) and am wondering if I need to add the after market heat shields or if they are already on there.
I always carry a slime Pro Power repair kit with me off road in my truck and my Quad in case of emergency tire repair. Had it in my truck for about 5 years under the back seat and never used it. My tractor tire went flat on me in the middle of a 26 ac vineyard block. Did not want to drive out on the rim so went back and got my tire kit. The compressor worked great but the green coiled air line broke and disinergrated into pieces. I am thankful this did not happen 30mi. out in the desert it could have turned into a life threatening situation. I always try to be prepared out there by myself. had not a clue the kit I carried was useless!

I redid the top end last year its looking like the rings did not seat there are about 700 miles on it no dusting issues the only mod it is a slp performance silencer and alba racing fuel pump but there are three different compression ratios stock, ratio 10:2 THEN 11: 1 then 12:1 any ideas which one to use ?It will be a stock machine and just trail riding
How do you release the fuel injector line at the top of the fuel pump, I think it is easy enough but I don’t want to break anything, I did a search but nothing comes up
I have searched the forum for a copy of a service manual for the 2014 RZR4 XP1000. I have found a link which didn’t work (invalid thread) and a reference for a link that just wasn’t there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 2006 Sportsman 700 is New to me.
I have a list questions regarding some issues I am having.
1. When I turn on the key, the Check Engine is displayed. Once I start it. Check Engine not displayed. Is this normal?
2. What does flashing Battery symbol indicate? (If lights are on, the Speedometer needle also flashes)
3. If I throttle down quickly, I hear a ‘clicking’ sound as the quad decelerates. Same clicking if the throttle is at idle, and I am going down a hill.
4. What is a ‘wrench’ displayed indicate?

Just wondering if the 900S uses the same front differential as the 1000. I know alot of 800 owners upgraded their front diff’s to the 1000 differentials. Also I remember hearing that reverse chains were always a issue breaking all the time. So far I have seen nothing written that my 900S has a reverse chain. Kind of new to the Side by Side game.
