Ok guys I know this is a Honda forum, but the suzuki dirtbike forums are dead and I’ve ran into a problem that I’m pretty sure I know what the problem is, but I wanted to consult the mechanics here first.
Going over the bike that I’ve been rebuilding cause it needed a new frame, and I notice oil seeping from the hole on the left side of the motor where you would use a 17MM socket to turn the crank, so I remove the plug and a whole bunch of oil came out.
Does this just mean the seal for the magneto is bad, or more?
And I also found a grey hair like looking material on the plug for the crank hole??????
My 2012 renegade 800 has been throwing this code for a while and now it won’t start and the relays under the hood are clicking. I believe it is relays R4 and R5. Help please not sure what to do next.
On my 2001 Rubicon I have knob that says D1, D2 and ESP. Can someone tell me what D1 and D2 would be best to drive in. It seems that D1 is geared lower then D2 but not sure. Thanks
My son bought a 1985 Honda 250 FourTrax for cheap, but it needs a new rear brake. I removed the wheel and all the bolts around the outside of the brake cover, but the cover does not come off. Am I missing something? I check the parts assembly manual and it does not look like there should be anything else holding it on. I already chipped one of the flanges pounding on it trying to get it to come loose.

Really impressed with the updates on the 17 XPs…I want the:
1. 3 position throttle. Should make slow speed stuff much safer when on an incline or off camber. My 850 nearly flipped on me several times when my thumb slipped from a "jar" and gave it too much throttle going uphill.
2. Integrated mud guards
3. Updated exhaust
4. Arched aarms
Do you think they will do a mid year release in January to include these on the touring versions?
5/16 bolts with nuts and washers to tighten the hold downs while exposing the bolt high enough – so that when I put the tote on top of it and bounce the hammer over it, a mark in the right position is made for the drilling operation. No conventional measuring necessary.
I haven’t been on in a while. Busy with work and such. Plus absolutely no riding done in the last 3 or 4 months. Not by choice though. I had bought an SATV 6" lift 3 months ago. Right after I got it I came across a heck of a deal for a CFAB 6" lift. So I sold the satv lift while it was still in the box. And bought the new Cfab lift. Ordered all my bearings and bushings. Should a been the first sign . Since the satv lift came ready to bolt on with bearings already installed. It really is a nice lift…now this is the beginning of June when I ordered the cfab kit.I have to wait 3 weeks for powdercoat. July 6th is scheduled delivery I think signature required on the cfab lift. 1 Box shows up a and fedex forges my signature. The box is beat up. Powdercoat is damaged. Box has been busted open and fedex just taped it back up. The next day the 2nd book shows up. Fedex forges my signature again. This box is not as damaged. So the 3rd box is now missing in fedex ‘s system.
So after a week of me going to the fedex making hub and not getting much help from cfab, we discovered the lost the box completely. So on the 12th, Cfab finally checked of the claim I started on the 3rd box. At this point I am very irritated because I asked when Corey at Cfab when was he going to send me replacmments? Then he proceeds to tell me that he will not send me replacements until fedex pays for the lost ones. What was in the missing box was the left trailing arm and the massive tie rods. And then corey tells me he will send me the replacements if I pay the $600 for them. So I said why do I have to suffer when fedex lost the parts and you are the shipper? He says that’s his company policy.
So here it is over a month since I started the claim, I am having to stay on top of the claim to get cfab to do what they are suppose to do. I am not getting much help or communication fromantic corey, and I can’t get a refund. Yesterday, I decided to go ahead and put the ball joints and bushings on the control arms. Come to find out, I can’t get the c-clip on the ball joints because the plate is too thick. I had to Grint off the powder coat, and a 1/8 inch of steel to get the c-clip in. That’s when I realized the hole for the ball joint was cut a little crooked on both arms. I am not happy at all with this situation, in my opinion the super atv lift was a nicer lift.
So I bought a 2013 sportsman 500 a month ago and the guy had just put on some 14" itp wheels and 28" moto mtc tires. From what I can find online (haven’t put one on a scale officially) but these tires are 40 lbs each and the wheels are 15 lbs each for a total of 220 lbs combined. He did put rhino cv axles front and rear on it, but should I be concerned about the differentials or drive axles? I don’t drive like a lunatic or suck it down in deep holes, mainly just mild trail riding. I did put a qsc clutch kit on if that makes a difference.
