Hi everyone, wanted to just let you all in on our event that took place on August 29-30th at Riding Mountain, MB for Autism Awareness and was sponsored by BUC (Bikers United Canada)
With full support to a local family, it is also a memorial ride for my brother, Darius Zechowski which smiled & watched over all of us on the ride for the day.
As the day started it was cloudy and cool but as us bikers do..we ride regardless, registration was at 10 am and 24 bikes showed to start us off,we said our prayer & hit the hwys. The ride was through Riding Mountain National Park and seems when we hit the gates to enter the sun peeked out and what a beautiful day it was, we had 35 bikes in total by the end.
Riders came from all corners of Canada and nice to meet some new faces. The ride took about 5 hours to complete with stops along the way to do your poker hands and back to private land where the festivities were taking place(supper/games/ entertainment).
When we hit the field we definitely were ready to eat supper which was put on by Petes Trucking(Darius's family), it was then drink and be merry. Local entertainers shared their tunes with us on the stage, kids which are always welcome played and ran around also...the child we sponsored even got a ride round the field. Overall the ride, music, friends for the first year was an awesum turn out and great to share the laughs & evening with the burn-out pit going strong lol and firepit conversations.
Looking forward to 2016 event and for sure the dates have already been set August Sat. 28- Sun. 29th with of course Friday being the meet & greet. Everyone is welcome with their families & campers/tents since we believe in being kid-friendly. Watch for 2016 poster for this will be an annual event in our area. Thanks for letting us share it with all of you & hope to see more next year. ;) You can also find us on Facebook on our site "Run Thru The Park" Here are some priceless pics of our day. Thanks again MLH&R all
