05 Rancher Lift

Installed my spring spacers and my bracket lift tonight. Just wondering if anyone else is running a "double lift" setup? Got 2" aluminum spring spacers and then an ATV Engineering bracket lift as well. Had to pry the shocks into the brackets to line the bolts up. Definetely can tell it puts the ball joints and tie rods in a "bind". increased the steering effort significantly even on jack stands. Haven’t picked up my 27’s yet so it looks funny with the 25’s but sits up nicely.

Warn Provantage winch wiring routing

I’m about to do the final power lead wiring on the install and wondered where you guys routed the wires to the battery? I’m thinking of coming up on the left side (sitting on the quad) right near the battery box rather than try to route the wires up with the main harnesses that run under the gauge cluster.

Is there a preferred place to route these or just whatever makes sense?

Thanks

New Guy from IL, er Ky, er IL

Been lurking for quite some time. Finally purchased my first ATV, a 2014 550 X2. I finally joined the forum to ask for advise once I had narrowed down my purchase to two machines and I appreciate very much the viewpoints everyone shared. I currently live about 30 miles SW of Chicago, but will be using the ATV to work on prepping 7 acres of woods in Ky near lake Barkley. The lot is 8 miles from Land Between the Lakes and I figure that I will be doing an equal share of trail riding. This is my first ATV and am looking forward to enjoying it for many years.

I think pictures are usually considered proof that it happened so I submit this as evidence

2004 traxter max xt start problem

Hello all. Newb here.
My traxter will not start with the start/stop button.
I’ve changed the starter relay/solenoid. It did not help.
The machine will start if I jump the the 2 bolted posts. Both on the old solenoid and the new one. I did find that There does not seam to be any power on the power wire to the solenoid. (White and red stripe wire). If I run a jumper from the positive terminal of the battery to the positive side of relay ( the wire that’s clipped on).
And press the start button , the machine starts. I figure that wire is clipped somewhere.
I’m lost. I cannot trace where that wire goes to. It disappears into the wiring harness.
Any ideas?
Also. If I simply run a wire with an inline fuse from the battery to the relay will I harm anything?
If anyone has a wiring diagram I can trace where that wire goes.

Different prices on belts ?

This is crazy I thought one dealer 30 miles from me quoted me 179.00 for a new belt I thought this was high so I thought I would call the other dealer that’s also 30 miles the other way from me and it was 135.00 so needless to say I will be buying the cheaper one I made sure it was the same belt they are both OEM it’s for a 800 max 2012
