I’m just new to the forum and relatively new to the world of ATV’s. I have a 2009 Outlander Max XT with low mileage however I’m thinking of replacing the stock Carlisle’s. One has a cut in the sidewall repaired by Slime at the moment, and another has a plug that is starting to leak again. Since they’re six years old, maybe its best to replace than spend $$$ on repairs.
Most of my riding will be on trails, wet and dry. There can be a fair bit of mud but I’m not one to go looking for it to get my shits and giggles. Wife will be with me on the back a fair amount of the time too.
I’d appreciate any advice on….
1. Should I stick with Carlisle’s or not?
2. Should I up the size a bit. (Currently 25×8 R12 in front and 25×11 R12 in rear.)
3. Is there any particular brand/model of tire that performs well on Outlanders or brands/models to stay away from?
Thanks in advance for suggestions & advice.

Just moved to New Brunswick where I’m told there are awesome trails for ATV’s….looking forward to it very much.

2009 Outlander Max XT
Up to 3 feet of expected through tomorrow so I just took my first run to keep ahead of the storm. WOW….just wow. This new 570 SP is so much nicer to plow with than my old 08 500 HO. Never realized how much easier on the arms plowing would be with EPS. Can’t live without it now. Also, the Polaris winch is such an upgrade from my old Powermax. It’s FAST, the blade pops up and down 3x quicker. Didn’t expect that. And having that integrated thumb control so close to the grip is fantastic. Lastly, I bought those cheap Polaris inserts for the front springs to avoid so much compression. The are fantastic, well worth a few bucks.
Could NOT be happier!
