2012 XP900 … help

i have a 2012 model .. got a love / hate relationship with this thing , love it .. when its going fine , could burn it when it breaks .. hopefully looking for some help with it .

The little problems is what i’m going through just seem to ruining every second ride , last ride done the bolt that goes through the motor – transmission , hopefully have that sorted now , ride before , wheel bearings , before that ball joint , belt .

I’m at the point of selling it unless I can get on top on the problems

The sort of riding we do is tracks , rock climbs , a wide varied ride , at the moment it is with a quad club as there is not many sxs here .

I have some R/T tie-rods coming , D/F front end gusset kit , Super Dave bushes for the front end .

Attached is a pic of it , some details on it as follows ,
2012 model , MCX low boost turbo , Ump air cleaner , Gorilla axles , Power Steer , Dragonfire rear arms 30" tyres , Winch , Tusk guard and the doors – extra cage stuff – seats / harness .

Is there any other stuff that I should be considering before it fails on me ?

I would appreactiate your help as it seems there is not enough knowledge over here ( Aus ) for them .

Cheers

Barn Find: ’91 Fourtrax 250X – Rough Idle

I just purchased a ’91 Fourtrax 250X in 100% original, very good shape.

It’s idling kinda rough though, once warm it chokes and shuts down, and I have to start it with the throttle wide open, otherwise it doesn’t start.

Does this look like an easy fix like cleaning with carb spray or Seafoaming it? Or does this look like a more complicated fix? I know a tune up is in order, just need to know what to focus on.

Fender or Tank Bags??

Okay, so I have a 500HO and 400HO; both 2013.

Tell me what you all think about fender and tank bags. Anyone have polaris versions? Anything you can recommend? Have some pictures of your set-up?

I’ve got the polaris trunks with bags, so whatever I end up with will have to work with that. I don’t know if front fender or rear fender would be better. I’ve obviously never used anything like this… I’d rather not buy and try several until I find something I like.

app?

Me personally think they should make a app for the forum I usually just use the forum from my phone but it would be so much simpler of there was a app for android and iphone

Too much positive camber?

Hello all, I am new to the forums!

I just bought my trail boss a few weeks ago. I noticed the left side wheel has quite a bit of camber, it almost seems like more the the right side. But are these wheels suppose to have this much lean out on the top of the tire? Or is there something bent?…

Thanks!

Hub

My daughter broke her front right hub on her 2014 850 sportsman. Anyone ever heard of a hub breaking? I’m guessing this is very rare. Side impact on a rock??? She also got a flat tire other side-rear. But added two plugs and all is good. Still going to replace the tires. Just need a hub, oh well.

Had the most enjoyable ride toady

Last weekend my gear shaft the goes to the front wheel drive broke, so no out put to the front gear case.

I strained out the gear case oil while I wait for a new one and the oil seemed clean . I thought might as well run it in two wheel drive.

It was the most enjoyable ride on the back roads, no front diff rattling or drive shaft vibrations .

I almost forgot how bad these things can sound since I been battling 4 wheel drive vibration since new

Hopefully soon new rzr more power and better drive line!!!!!
