I need to change the battery in a 2007 Sportsman X2 500 EFI but I have no idea how to go about doing it. The battery appears to be in the most awkward location possible. The owner’s manual doesn’t seem to explain the procedure. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Sorry if this subject has been covered elsewhere here. I didn’t find anything on this topic, hence the new thread.

Ok guys. I blew the motor on my 400ex. Pretty sure the guys before me just ragged the cap out of it and it was in the making. One of the piston skirts just exploded. I just sent the head to LASLEEVE to get bored up to a 426. I have a fmf slip on exhaust and a stage 2 hot cam. What else do I need to upgrade for the 426 to run the best? Do I have to get a new sleeve or could I still use old one if it’s not too bad? New valves? Port and polish? And what compression? I’m going wiseco and run premium pump gas sometimes with octane booster. Sorry its so long. Thanks for the help.
I was wondering if anyone has had any real problems removing their CVs after water has gotten in and seemingly seized them in place.
I’ve watched the PowerModz guy remove them on his XP900 and he had a pretty tough time as well but mine just wont seem to budge, I’ve sprayed and soaked them with PB Blaster and nothing. Can pry with every bar known to man but they don’t go anywhere.
Not only will they not budge but while pulling, the CV shaft came out of the inner knuckle. So the only hope that I could find was to pull the other side apart and hope it comes out so I could knock it out from the opposite side. Same thing happened over there, now I have two knuckles still in the trans and no good way to get them out. See here: Imgur
I ordered a OTC CV puller slide hammer but I’m a bit skeptical it will actually be about to get in between the CV and the trans. They seem a lot like CVs on a car but they’re a bit different.
Does anyone know if there is another company that makes latches that might work with the V2 doors? I busted the drivers latch and have had zero success trying to get a call or email back from Jake at UTV giant.

So I noticed the other day while cleaning on it in the shop that the front drivers side is leaning and sitting lower than the passenger side. Checked all the tires and they’re all the same. Tried adjusting with the wrench but they don’t wanna turn. Is there a certain way to do it? I noticed there’s two ringed notches so do you have to loosen the top one to be able to move the bottom one? Also how do you know the shocks are set the same?
