Have 92 Trail Boss 250 that has 2 separate switches, one for lights, kill and start and the other guessing for override/reverse switch. Does anyone know if a switch like for 96 Trail Boss 250 be used, which incorporates the switches into one unit, be used to replace the existing switches?
Have to replace the 92 switch anyway, still the kill portion is stuck and will not move.
2012 Outlander 650 (Gen 1). There’s a plastic piece that sits on top of the head (also on top of the thermostat), I have no idea what it’s called, but the coolant flows through it into the head.
Recently I had a severe coolant leak so we stripped the bike down and found that this plastic piece had a small hole in it. I’ve ordered a new piece, but it’s not arriving until after a planned ride.
Two things.
1. What is this plastic piece called? I forgot to ask the dealership when I described it to them.
2. Is there any way to temporarily plug this hole so I can ride on Tuesday? It needs to be something that can withstand the temperature and pressure of the coolant.

I’m pulling the release cord on the back of my twisted stitch seats and the rear bench won’t come out. On the drivers side I can fit my hand back there and pull the tab but there’s no room on the passenger side. It’s binding up and won’t release by the cords and I need to get it out. Any suggestions?
Picked up a 2015 570 sportsman. went out on first ride over 30 and noticed a shimmy at 40 mph. Anyone know what this could be? Called Dealer and they want it back to fix it.:slomo:

What gauge wire are you guys using to power your accessory block? Was thinking about 8 gauge wire and fuse for power and same for the ground back to the battery. Is it necessary to ground back to the battery or just the frame?
Thanks
So after waiting 2 weeks to get my diff situation fixed I,m having more electrical problems. I noticed while I was waiting on the diff I had some wires messed up going into the fuse box so I cut open the tubing, aped over some wires that were missing insulation, used wire caps to join back some broken wires. And everything worked fine. Until I took it riding yesterday and towards the end of the day it just shut off. I got it started, moved about 10 feet and then it shut off again. luckily i wasn’t in any if the deep water when this happened so I drug it onto high ground and unhooked the battery, cleaned/dried the connections, jiggled some of my crummy electrical connections and it started up and ran for a little bit, but when I tried driving it was skipping really bad. It sounded exactly what it sounds like in reverse without pushing the over ride. So I fiddled with the battery some more, charged it over night, now it wont even try to start. The dash would just flicker but I got it to where it will light up like normal but the fuel pump wont prime nor will it attempt to turn over
My 04 Grizzly burned out a headlight so I thought this is a good time to replace both with high output lamps. My Yamaha dealer had some China bulbs at $18.00 each so I picked up two. On installation I found one was right but the other had the high and low reversed. After careful inspection to make sure I hadn’t installed it upside down, I returned it, got another but found that one also reversed. I didn’t want the dealer to think I was nuts so I hooked up a 6 volt battery with enough amps to just light the elements and went back with the bad bulb and the original Yamaha bulb for a show and tell.
Not only were the bulbs I bought reversed but all of his new stock were also reversed! I have no idea how many he sold before I pointed this out but there has got to be thousands of these Chinese bulbs out there at stores.
I went home with Yamaha bulbs, they are much better quality and worked just prefect.
