Installing Radius Rods Question?

I plan on installing a set of Assault High Clearance radius rods later today. I was looking at the service manual and it says to discard all the nuts after removing old rods and use new nuts. What is the opinion out there on this. I have not driven my 1000 except when picking it up and into the garage. Been busy customizing.

Tierod end replacement

Ok so I bought the super atv heavy duty tierods and ends. Very beefy compared to the stock ones that were on my 570. The Tierod ends are a 14mm thread stock are 12mm. We’re can I or who offers tie rod ends that will fit. They can be heims.

Bad weekend..

Went on an overnight trip that didn’t go so well. Friday evening about 1 a.m I screwed up trying to cross a rut and rolled it over. It landed directly on top of me and luckily there were 8 of us because I’d probably still be under it. My arm is pretty sore but I’m lucky. Broke some plastic, bent the rear rack bar. Broke the brake fluid reservoir on the handlebar. Still was able to ride. It was fine till the next day. A couple of hours of riding and it started to overheat. It went in to limp mode and I had to wait for it to cool down before I could head back to camp. Overheated three more times trying to get back. Ruined the rest of the weekend for me. Warranty is up in two weeks. Gonna fix the broken pieces and take it in to the dealer.

Rising oil level??

Anyone else observe this? I will change oil and put in 2.5 quarts and the next morning it will be at the top mark, then as time goes on it seems when I check it after 24 hrs. it slowly shows more. I have about 4 hrs on this oil change and the level is showing 1/16-1/8" higher, I’ve seen it go a 1/4" higher but it seems to stay there and not get any higher. What ya think?

Wet foot wells

I got 2015 outlander max xt with the 800. I find the right foot well is like a hose when going through water. It seems to spray up though where the brake pedal is. Anyone came up with any fixes? I don’t want to be wearing rubbers every time I ride.

Thanks

Mitch

Saint Francis needs to be public!ATV

So on My daily ride yesterday I went off path on accident to the national park saint Francis them trails are so good an well maintained I want to know why atvs can’t go through there I mean it’s not like we will misuse it an nobody walks or ride bicycles back there I hope it’s just all them trails an nobody really goes through them police doesn’t want us on the streets a lot so give us saint Francis an they won’t have to worry about us anymore! We have other trails but some stupid loggers did a horrible job they left some trails messed up..this isn’t my first time in saint Francis but Don’t tell nobody:)

Awesome System

Got a SSVWorks 6 speaker system from SxSPerformance at Rally on the Rocks. The system was perfect as it does rock. Sounds really good and can hear it while driving. It really sounds great at trail speed. I know I’m going to have to add one of their subs, it will make the system awesome! My only complaint, is I wish the LED display was angled so I could read it. My eyes are older and I have a hard time getting the right angle to see it. Would definitely recommend the system. True plug and play. Thanks SxS Performance and SSV Works for making the Rally even better!

pilot screw install

This is why it’s important to install the screw with carb on it’s side or standing up. He couldn’t get it to run right and gave up, quad sat for a long time because of a simple mistake.
