CV boot small cut repair tip

I found a very small cut (1/4") on one of my front axle cv boots that was allowing grease to ooze out. Quick fix for temporary is to clean the boot rubber very well and scuff it up lightly w sand paper. Then I took some 527 glue, which is flexible, and coated the area liberally. So far after about 10 miles of riding it is still holding well. The 527 glue is available at walmart. I have fixed MANY kids toys with this glue and the clear 5 min epoxy!!

Should work for a little while at least till I can replace the boot.

New doors

So I know it’s a matter of opinion but looking to replace doors. Who can tell me about their doors. Looking for opinion for different brands. I put TFBB doors on the Ace. Nice doors but had to use gasket material to get the rattle to stop. Thinking of getting some Pro Armor doors. They are very light and look sweet. The dealer has a couple sets he’s selling cheap to make room for newer style rzr parts.

Stock CV Joints

Does anyone know the part number or where I could get stock CVs? Trying to decided if I want to buy complete axle assemblies or make my own up with better quality shafts.

TDC mark on 2010 700

Searched, read the sticky on 2 sites but I am still at a loss on this. There are 3 lines on the fly wheel and then about 1/8 or less of a turn there is a tab on the inside of the flywheel but no "I"" on there.

So do I use one of the three lines or do I use the tab that is on the inside, if it is one of the three then which one for TDC?

No pics that i can find anywhere… not my first valve job as i do them on my motorcycles… and those are easy…

I also do not have a sticker with the lash numbers, I am the original owner so I know I didn’t remove it. From what I gather they are the same as earlier models.

Thanks for any help.

New mods to my RZR

I just put the first mods onto my RZR the last couple days. Added a Tusk fabric roof, bump seat from Gearup2go.com, light cubes from Diode Dynamics, 20" light bar I had from an F150 I recently sold, a cheap pair of grab handles I picked up from Tactor Supply, and a waterproof gear box. My wish list is still long but I’m excited to have these done for now. Headed to the Black Hills this weekend for our first RZR trip!

Sportsman ETX 30hp

Hello everyone, was thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2015 Sportsman ETX 30hp. I know lots will think of it as underpowered and not big enough, but the price of this thing makes it a winner in my book, However it’s really all i need. I currently ride a prairie 300 and it goes everywhere my friends 500 and 750s go. especially being standard with Indepedendent Rear, liquid cool, EFI, etc..it’s really hard to beat, Basically plan on using it to ride some trails in Busco, NC and some riding in Hatfield Mccoys. Thoughts on this Atv? thanks in advance for any info.

Blowing aftermarket belts and clutch kits.

Got a email this AM and I wanted to share the first line with you guys.

"I have a 2015 xp 4 1000. About 400 miles and already went thru 2 OEM belts. I trail ride in sand. Pretty fast trail rides. "

What is my point here? This guy is totally stock, stock 15 belt, stock clutching etc.

Will you blow a aftermarket belt? yes, will you still do it after a clutch kit? yes

Should it be less often? yes

I rebuilt some stock clutches yesterday that just eat belts left and right, if you saw them you would know why.

Please don’t be closed minded if you have a aftermarket belt like the Gates C12 we sell or good clutch kit like the Dalton like we sell and things don’t go perfect for you. Your driving style, where you ride and whether you have dirty or worn clutch parts is the main reason of belt failure not the kit or belt.

There is waaaaay more people get on forums stating troubles they have after installing aftermarket stuff than when just stock. For some reason having problems with stock belts and clutching is acceptable.

The statement just go OEM belt simply is not true either. This one email is just one of a million I have received or talked on the phone about.

If you are going through a OEM belt or a Gates C12 belt then there is a reason and the least of which is the belt itself.

Help me help you!!!
