EPI sand clutch kit

Wonder if anyone has used this kit before. Found one on Ebay for $150 shipped so I thought I might give it a try. I saw a video on youtube EPI put out that showed an improvement in sand, but don’t know what to believe on that. I really don’t do much with my RZR4 besides take it to the dunes every once in a while and it does ok till I encounter steeper dunes especially with extra riders. I have paddles which helps but it bogs down pretty good under load. All my buddies have 1000’s now so it’s getting harder to keep up!

I know the Dalton clutch is highly recommended, but it’s about twice as expensive plus I don’t think I would ever adjust it because I wouldn’t want to take the cover off every time to fine tune it I guess.

I was considering trading up to a General this fall so I just thought if I could install a basic kit that would help for a few dune trips I would consider it and not be out that much.

For those that have installed a kit like this, did it really make the engagement "jerky"? I don’t really care at the dunes, but driving around the farm it may be annoying.

I’ve read mixed reviews with the kit so just looking for some real world reviews.

No spark

2010 rzr 4, and it has no spark. I started it Saturday and moved it. Yesterday i went out to move it and it wouldn’t start. I can hear the fuel pump, so its getting fuel. While i was letting it spin over, it would eventualy backfire. It did this a few times and now it just spins and not backfires. I pulled the plug and no spark. Could it be the CDI box and if it is where is it located. I checked the fuses up under the dash by the steering wheel. Any input.

Little advice on where to start with this mystery

Here’s my issue folks. Started out temp reading like 39 degrees while driving. Read fine standing still. Found temp sending harness was rattling off & fan wasn’t kicking on. Fixed that, drove fine for a bit, at the end of my ride it started spitting antifreeze from the hose at the top of radiator (near overflow). Thought I kinked hose. Drove fine for 2 all day rides. End of 2nd ride got a message on screen "lo" & spitting antifreeze again. Not as much, but still. Wondering where to start. Can’t make it do it again in the garage.

Lift / Tire Size Question???

Good Afternoon Folks,

I just ordered a 2" lift for my 2012 RZR4 800 RG. I am also considering going from to a 28" tall tire.

My question is this: What if any performance will I lose by adding a larger tire and is the added 1/2" worth the $$ for new tires? Should I just wait until I need tires to go up in size? Should I go up more than 28"?

I live in Colorado Springs and will use for mostly trail riding with some rock crawling (but nothing crazy). We don’t get a lot of deep mud up my way….

What wheels and tires?

I have a 2012 RZR 4 800 with the stock wheels and tires (Maxxis Bighorn).

Front AT26X9R12
Rear AT26X12R12

I would like to get the same size wheels and tires for both the front and back to give it a more level look instead of the rear being higher. I ride mostly on rock, mud, and hard packed dirt.

Would this require spacers or any extra hardware?

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
