Needed new ignition……

Lost the key to my ’14 550xp so I went to Polaris dealer for new ignition….picking up a new matte white ’15 1000 xp today, expensive ignition!!

After reading a few threads here thou…I’m having some buyers remorse lol, r there really that many issues??!

I’m having them install hand/thumb warmers prior to pickup and thinking 26" bighorns and and exhaust at some point. R the bighorns taller than stock (I know both r 26")??

scrambler 500 oil lines

I recently got a 98 scrambler 500. I had to put a new top end in it, im in the process of putting everything back together but there is one oil line I cannot figure out where it goes. Its the very top one on the oil tank, does anyone know where this thing hooks too?

1st Oil Change

OK feel free to laugh and poke good humored fun at this one. I did my first oil change on my 2014 400 HO today. Got the filter off and replaced it no problem, the moved confidently on to the drain plug. This is where you get to laugh, I removed the bolt almost directly below the filter. As I am removing said bolt I am thinking this is a dumb place to put the drain plug it’s right over the bottom engine guard. I get the bolt out and discover it is hollow with a small hole in the end and very little oil is coming out. I immediately replace the bolt and start looking around. Wouldn’t you know it right there behind the front wheel at the base of the oil tank is another bolt. I think I might be on to something here so I proceed to remove this bolt. As soon as I remove the bolt oil comes gushing out and I see this bolt has a magnet on the end. After draining the oil and cleaning the bolt off I put everything back together and filled it with oil. I started it up and all appears to be well. The question is did I screw up anything by removing that first bolt and do I have to perform the priming ritual that I understand is a pain in the back side.

07 Renegade 800 Valve Cover Bolt

So I recently went to change my valve cover and broke off a valve cover bolt below flush….. I cant get to it because the space between the motor and the frame is too close. Now what? I would rather not have to pull the whole motor. Any suggestions????:th_smiliefrustrated
