Hello everyone. New member first post. So thanks in advance. Just bought an 04 400ex. It had a pretty bad tick in it before I got it so the guy I bought it from did the valve lash on it. It made a big difference but still has a tick. Also the day I looked and rode it, it was not smoking. A couple days after I buy it I notice white smoke under load. And black oil in end of exhaust pipe. This is my first machine so it’s all new to me. Any help would be appreciated.

So I am pretty new to the ATV thing but I have been involved with powersports my whole life. I have a 2001 Sportsman 500HO and just picked up a 1993 Trailboss 250 4×4. The Trailboss needs a new top end and I am wondering if it is worth it to over bore it and if so where should I take the pieces in the metro area (Minneapolis/St. Paul) to have them machined. In addition what suggestions does anyone have in regards to carb adjustments / jetting for an over bore of say .020?

Help!! Am out of ideas here. A new battery installed, few hour battery gets drained. About 11.34 VoLts the battery symbol flashes on the display continue draining. I have replaced the OEM box , recharge battery and few hours later back to the same issue. What’s next for me CDI??? Or???

So the threads on the carb that the throttle cable screws into is stripped, no threads left, what should I do, I thought about putting a nut on top and on the bottom. I don’t think a helicoil will work but I could give it a shot. I don’t know how on earth these stripped out.

I bought a 2013 outlander xmr1000 about 2 months ago. It has about 1500km on it of which i have put about 500. I was doing some maintenance and decided to pull the cap off of my air intake drain. I was shocked to have over a cup of oil
come out! There was no water in the oil. Is this normal from accumulated blow by or do I have some bigger issues?:th_smiliepullhair:

Looking at Tractor Supply today and saw the Warn winch for 289.99 and plan on getting one for my 08 Sportsman 800. My question is will the wiring on the winch work with the pre-wired setup on my 800? Also I know I’ll have to get the mounting bracket but does anybody which specific one or have a part number?

Hey guys I’m new to the site and new to owning a 4wheeler really. I have an 08 sportsman 800 touring, I just bought it a couple months ago with only 800 miles on it. Sometimes when I am out for a ride and she warms up and I shut it off for a couple minutes and go to restart it I loose half my power, it’s almost like I loose a cyclinder. It has never kicked back in for me but if I shut if off and cycle the fuel pump a couple times it usually works great till I shut it off again. If it had like ten minutes to cool off its fine and never does it cold. Anyone else heard of this?
