extended warranty

I’ve asked before n asking again! I have no problem turning a wrench, love working on all my Toy’s, my question is, I have a 2016 450ho and I’m going on 4 months. I know Polaris makes a great quad and see a lot of older machines doing great. My window for the factory extended warranty is creeping closer. Is the 700-1200 price worth it? Would buy lots of parts. BUT, it’s a new machine and peace of mind is great too. Any opinions or experiences with the warranty would be appreciated!

570 XMR vs 570/570 LE clutches/speedometer ?

I tried looking through parts diagrams but I can’t find any information on whether the clutch weights/primary/secondary springs for the 570 XMR are different from the 570 LE or standard 570L models. I have a 570 LE and am considering switching to 28" tires.

Also, is it possible to have my speedometer re-flashed to the XMR calibration at a dealership? My speedo is currently dead on with my 26" Bighorn 2.0s and 27" Zillas (they measure 26" mounted). If I go to 28s I want my speedometer to be accurate for maintenance and riding trip/trails information. I’m aware I can buy a speedohealer if I get 28s but a re-flash seems simpler.

2007 Honda 420CC Rancher ES

ISSUE:
Had on and off issues with my quad mid trip blanking out and loosing track of what gear it was in, I could turn it off and on then continue. It progressively got worse to the point where I could only lap the house before the issue appeared and turning it off/on wouldn’t always solve it, and sometimes it wouldn’t even get that far.

ATTEMPTS TO FIX:
Last week I replaced the Shift Angle Sensor and it seemed to have cleared up the problem as it shifted cleanly through all the gears in a standing position. Yesterday I had the chance to actually take it out and run it and found out my problem is still occurring.

This time I took note of the error code and found out it was Error 24 Shift Control Motor Drive Circuit. Ran through all the steps and everything checked out, so thinking it was dirt in a connector that I cleaned out. The last step says to erase the DTC which I think you need some HDS Pocket Tester to do which I don’t have. Took it for a spin and within a few minutes same issue but different error code.

Not it’s Error 22 Shift Angle Sensor Response: Control Motor Lock/Stuck. Got up to the last step which is the Reduction Gear Condition Check, but I called it a night and will resume again later.

I’m thinking I’ll find my problem when I take that apart. Not sure of price of a new one or a good place to shop for parts for it. But I was also wondering why I can no longer shift manually all of a sudden? When I was going through the steps one was to shift manually and it did work, but then minutes later it doesn’t…

Any thoughts? Does not clearing the error codes have an impact? Am I on the right track 😛

Lil help with 420 Rancher?

I have this 420 Rancher, fuel injected, electric shift, don’t know the year but it’s newer model. It doesn’t set much and about every few months it busts a battery. Someone told me it was a bad voltage regulator. Could somebody link the correct part I need from Amazon or eBay?

Hey all! New member from NC. Currently have a 2016 570 LE. Traded a 2015 Honda Rubicon…the Honda was reliable but man was it slow! Have been riding this thing pretty hard and am very impressed. Planning on picking up a 850 XMR this fall and I’ll give this 570 to the wife :clapsmilie:

Can’t remove piston pin

Ok got my 98 foreman 400 head and cylinder taken off and removed one piston pin clip from back side of piston I cannot find another clip on opposite side to save my life. I’ve looked with a flashlight I’ve done anything imaginable and nothing. I can’t get the piston pin out so I’m not sure what’s wrong. Anyone have any advice? I had to come in and take a cool down period before I freak out. Thanks everyone in advance. Seems like I was more patient back when I was a cop;) I’ve since lost that

Skids installed on Outty today.

Got the Ricochet skids installed on the Outlander Max 1000 XT today. Easy smooth job until I decided I wanted to replace the winch cable with a winch rope I took off my old ATV. Ended up having to pull the bash plate and loosen the front skid so I could get the front plastic kind of off and access the winch mounting bolts. Slide the winch somewhat out the right side of the ATV where I was able to access the drum and change the line over.

Outty strung up to the Maple tree, she wouldn’t stay set back on the rear grab handle so I tied her off to the tree on the other side of the yard. Take note of them fine new bark chips on the ground, spent yesterday hauling and spreading 12 cu yards of the stuff.

I set her on the ground and removed the rear tires to get the factory plastic off the A Arm and install the new A Arm skids.

82 atc200e wiring

Just got a 82 atc200e made in Japan. Looking for the right wiring diagram? All the ones that I found the wire colors don’t match? One show a neutral switch? Don’t see any wires that would go to a neutral switch? One doesn’t show the e-starter but shows a a/C kit (battery,regulator,and stuff). Didn’t have spark when I got it but I’ve got a weak spark now. Ive got continuity at the starter button but not at the relay? Confused about the wiring diagrams that I’ve found???
