570 For Sale

Looking to sell my 2015 570.😢 It has 30hr and 280 miles never been sunk, rolled, or abused. The only reason I’m selling is because I just bought a RZR. The machine has front and rear rack extenders, handguards, back up led, and $100 mechanics manual. I’m asking 5000 or best offer. The machine just had 25 hr service at Big#1 in Birmingham. Located in Warrior Al. call or text 205.305.8302.

28″ zillas clutch advice please

i have a 2016 grizzly and I recently installed 28 zillas on 12" rims now I need clutch advice. Im a all round trail rider with a mix of everything fast logging roads, slower technical sections lots of slower putting around in tight trails. until hunting season starts then I try to get into where no hunter has been, looking for the next "hot hunting" spot including the odd mud hole here and there nothing crazy, but my last mud hole i went in made me realize I really need a different clutch set-up as the power wasnt on tap and I needed a little running start to get things powered/revved up. Im not no mud bogger by anymeans but i will go through them if i come across them. Also I drag my game out of the bush and plow with it in the winter so still need workability of the bike. I will be going with a jbs sheave but as far as weights James recommended 17 gram weights and a gold spring with slugs. not that I dont think hes wrong with the recommendation just wondering what everyone else thinks of this set-up or a different set-up would be better

2000 sportsman 500- excessive prop shaft play

I was changing the oil when I noticed, but there is excessive play in the prop shaft, mainly in the front u-joints. The front differential and tranny doesn’t move, so that’s a good thing. I’m thinking I should replace my u-joints? Any help on parts of need or on the procedure would be greatly appreciated. Here’s a video showing what I’m talking about

4×4 light flicker

So I was out today for a spin and noticed going down the road at 50 60ish the 4×4 light flicked on and off a few times. I stopped put it in 4×4 and it worked fine in and out. Any ideas

Front diff oil change

I have a 2016 XMR650 and am getting ready to change the front diff oil. On my 2010 Outlander the drain plug is on the side of the case but the 2016 doesn’t have one there. Is it on the bottom of the case? If so then I will have to remove the skid plates.

Hot legs? one solution.

With all the posts about hot legs I thought I would post my findings after I installed a fan bypass switch. Today my phone claims the outside temp is 75 degrees and I ran my Outlander about 10 miles in traffic, stop lights as well as a few stop signs. Starting out I got about 3 city blocks before my water temp read 195 degrees and I flipped on my fan, within 2 city blocks my temp was down to 175 degrees. I left the fan on the rest of the time and my temp floated from 170 to 180 degrees depending on my speed which was mostly around 20 mph or setting at a stop light. I found that between the lower temp and air circulation that the plastics don’t get near as hot or maintain there heat. My fan kicks on at 200 degrees and off at 197 by itself so there isn’t a whole lot of air movement or cooling effect in general.

Here is a good video that shows how to do the mod.

wire colors on my 2015 Outlander Max XT 1000 are brown with a white stripe for the top right wire looking at front of fuse block and brown with red stripe wire for the botton left looking at them from front of machine and fuse block. The brown with red stripe wire is actually a jumper wire that comes out of the middle of the fuse block and heads back into the fan relay fuse. I wanted to try this mod before I got to carried away so I just used a couple quick crimps to splice a couple wires into the above listed wires then ran them to a switch located in the plastic piece below the handlebars.

Fan switch is switch on the left side of the voltmeter.
