I am having issues starting my 2010 sportsman 550. If you just turn the key, it just continously turns over but doesn’t start. I have to pump the throttle over and over. Sometimes it starts after a minute or two and sometimes it just won’t start. I’ve drained the battery trying to start it a couple times. While pumping the throttle, I occasionally get what seems to be air blowing backing out of the air filter and have had it backfire a couple times.

Once started, I have to keep giving it some gas til it warms up or it will die, then have to start the starting procedure again. Once it warms up it runs great.

Any help would be appreciated before I have to take it to the dreaded dealer.

my stock rear skid plate oon my 01 400ex is touching the rear shock linkage, and rubbing, any reason why its doing this, I took it off and tried remounting it but it still touches it. are the aftermarket rear skid plates good quality?

Good Morning! I recently inherited a 1995 Polaris Magnum 425 4×4 that is in fair condition. I have gotten it running and installed new brake pads. I bought a master cylindar rebuild kit and am beginning this adventure. My question is how do i get the piston out to replace the seals on the piston? I have the cylindar off from the handle bars and drained of the brake fluid. It is still attached to the brake line and such. Thank you for your responses.

I recently traded my 2003 Sportsman 400 in for a 2015 Sportsman 570 SP Touring and have a question about the deceleration on the 570. When I let off of the accelerator the engine slows the ATV down like the hill decent worked on my 400. On my 400 I could coast but can’t on the 570. Is this normal for the new ATV’s? Can I shut this off? Thanks.

I’ve attended this show twice. And wanted to share the video’s I made from the 11th annual and the most recent 13th annual show. I have a set of Carlisle Terrathon Tires I want to give away. The sizes are 26×8-14 for the fronts and 26×10-14 for the rear. I bought them a couple years ago and never used them. They are used though as I bought them off Craigslist. I won’t ship and live in Western Oklahoma so if you come through the area let me know and you can pick them up.
