Without going to the dealer to buy the trans oil and gear oil can anyone tell me what weight to use.
New member but not new to the forums
Finally registered. Been visiting the forums looking at posts to get opinions and see what kinda things other Polaris owners deal with. I am a part time atv mechanic and Polaris is my favorite to ride and work on Between my dad, brother, and myself we have a collection that consists of a 97 Trail Boss, 95 Xplorer 400 4×4, 00 Xplorer 400 4×4, 99 Magnum 325 4×4, 97 yamaha big bear 2×4, 07 honda 4×4 and previously owned a 96 Xpress 400 2×4. Like i said we love the Polaris.
light bar fading
I added the 20 inch Cree light bar a while back. The wiring kit they sent was junk, it started flickering after 1 ride. So I cut the high beam and ground wire to the headlights (they are 16 gauge) and spliced the 12 gauge light bar wires into them. So I have had it running fine for 3 or 4 months with the 16 & 12 gauge running into a 16 gauge. Now when I turn the wheel it fades out, my guess is because the electric power steering taking battery power. So would changing the wires to run the 16 & 12 into a 18 gauge wire help this? How do you guys have your lightbars running with your headlight switch?

15 570 Sprtsman Chinese wireless remote with Polaris 3500 HD
I have a ’15 Sportsman 570 that I’ve installed the Polaris 3500 HD winch. The winch came with the handle bar switch that plugged into the handle bar wiring. The winch had a white connector that plugged in down at the frame mount for the switch connector. It made the install "plug and play".
A friend got me this $20 wireless remote and it has a receiver with four leads: hot/positive, negative, in & out.
My question is how do I connect it into the factory wiring?? The polaris winch has a green & black wire coming in from the handle bar. I’ve scoured the site, most of the installations I’ve read about have an external contactor that the wires connect with; however, the Polaris contactor on the winch that appears sealed.
Anyone have thoughts on the wiring?
diff vent tube throwing oil
the vent tube from the rear diff. is throwing oil all over the front. took screw out and what seemed to look like motor oil came pouring out! what would cause this? 99-00 400 big bear 2wd
Exhaust: FO 14 vs Harley
I was looking at the rear of my wheeler the other day :icon_ laughup: and I noticed that the muffler looked kind of small for me. Anyway I want to replace it with a bigger, better, louder muffler, not one that has a power gain necessarily, and I was wondering if the FO 14 had a nice sound. I would probably go with that because we live near the border and it would be easy to get one. Then I was looking through some old threads and one guy said he got a Harley muffler and put it on and that it sounded nicer/deeper and throatier, than the FO 14. Just wondering, since I want just mainly a better, louder sound, which one would do nicer and have a good sound. I also read that the FO 14 doesn’t sound to good at higher RPM’s. So which one should I get? Which one sounds better? Is cheaper? Thanks.

04 400ex SMOKING BAD fresh new top end
Put new top end on except for valve cover new piston jug was bored 16 over and the piston fit perfect but had issues with the oil ring on it guy said it was to long so he cut it a little bit and it fit put it all bacm together and I had issues getting it started turned out to be a timing issue and the vales were to tight got all that fixed started it and it is smoking something awful please help its a constant smoke !
