Anyone still into CB radios

Went by my moms house to drop off my lil one last night and finally picked up my dads old radios he used to use before he passed a couple of years ago.. Hope fully I’m gonna get one/some of them up and running in the shop just for old times sake.. I used to dabble with them when I was a teen (our cell phones back in the day)..

Here is a shot of them as I put them in the shop to get them out of the back of the truck..

Choke cable difference’s 98-02

Hey guys, I bought at 1998 choke cable for my 2002 sportsman 500 ( on accident) I’ve been looking at pictures and the ends seem a little different. I can’t really tell what the end of the 02′ cable looks like. The 98 cable seems to have a longer amount of threads on it. Any one have an idea if it will work ? I’d rather not ship it back and reorder, thanks !

Shift knob pros and cons

I am thinking about getting a shift knob for my 350s. I have problems with my legs and think it would be a wise decision to get one. Can anyone tell me exactly how they work? What are the pros and cons of having one?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

Double winch

so, through a comedy of errors and an overreliance on my local shop, I’ve ended up with two working winches (and one not so working solenoid which is about to be replaced). first winch is a superwinch 3000# (not sure on the model at the moment) and the new one off of craigslist is a warn a2500.

so….not wanting to throw a working thing away, I thought it might be possible to mount one of the winches on the rear of my fourwheeler (2012 rancher AT). has anyone done this? any ideas of what parts of the rear frame that are exposed in the IRS models that would be safe to winch from? I’m thinking of having a heavy duty selector switch to be able to use the one solenoid to drive either winch after selecting which one the output of the solenoid goes to. does that sound reasonable? pictures/diagrams welcome!

Clutch issues

Hey guys, new to the forum and Can Am so I’m sorry if this has been asked before. I have an 2012 800 Outy that is slipping/jumping at slight throttle. I am pretty sure I toasted the belt the last time I rode (got hung up and it smoked a good bit then started the "jumping") so I replaced the belt but it’s still doing the same thing. Looked like the secondary was the one "jumping". So I pulled the clutches last night and secondary looks fine but the primary looks a little damaged. See pictures. The bearing looks worn, the rear sheave has light rust ring and the outer sheave has a slight groove. Should I replace that whole primary or would these things even be causing this "jumping". I just don’t want to go buying a ton of parts that I don’t truly need. Thanks in advance!
