Gas tank reserve on 2008

I bought my 2008 420 Rancher last month. It had only 17 miles on it and 19 hours from "just running it". The previous owner had the "20hour" service done and I think had the fuel system drained and serviced at that time. I’m sure that the gas in it is at least one or two years old and want it gone. I’ve put another twenty miles on it and it is running fine, but I want fresh fuel in the system. Question: do I need to run the tank down to needing to switch to reserve and run that down to clean things out, or will filling the tank when normally low mix in with the reserve fuel? Thanks, Bob

Is there a such thing as “Too aggressive of a tire?”

When I bought the Griz, I had the dealer throw some wicked looking EFX MotoMTC tires on it.
EFX MotoMTC – All Terrain ATV Tire and UTV Tire by EFX Performance

I noticed the other day that sometimes my quad seems a little unpredictable while ascending a tree rooted or rocky hill. Kind of grabs and hops around some. It yanked the front end around pretty violently a couple times.

Too much tire? Or just me not being experienced enough?

I don’t ride deep mud. Just trail riding with light mud.
I am thinking of something else, like maybe ITP Terracrosses.

All NEBRASKA RIDERS please read!!!

NOHVA JUST LEARNED THAT the Nebraska Legislature has passed LB-498 which is a law requiring “ALL” ATVs and UTVs to be registered in Nebraska. LB-498 was introduced by Senator Galen Hadley of Kearney. The bill has been passed by the legislature and forwarded to the Governor for his approval. What this means is that later this year ALL ATVs and UTVs must be registered at your county court house in the state of Nebraska if the governor signs the bill.
This includes machines that are used on private land as well as on trails. No person shall be allowed to operate an ATV or UTV in Nebraska without a Nebraska registration or a registration from another state. With this new law if the governor signs it, all ATVs and UTVs must have a registration decal on the fender. Racing or any modified ATVs and UTVs are INCLUDED. Law enforcement will be checking ATVs and UTVs for a registration on the machine.
In order to buy an $8 registration all prior taxes must be paid, the owner must prove ownership with a title, a Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO) and/or a legal receipt of payment. Failure to pay taxes, title your ATV or UTV and pay the registration fee will result in a misdemeanor and fine. Sales taxes will be collected from retailers at the time of the sale. On private sales the buyer will need to pay the sales taxes. Before a sale can be made in private the owner must prove ownership and pay past taxes.
UNLIKE MOST OTHER STATES NONE OF THE FEES AND TAXES PAID WILL BE USED FOR TRAILS AND PLACES FOR PEOPLE TO RIDE. This is a link to the final bill as sent to the governor. http://nebraskalegislature.gov/Floor…inal/LB498.pdf
This new law will be a big mess for ATV and UTV owners who do not have the proper paperwork to prove ownership. In some instances machines could be confiscated from their owners if they don’t have the correct papers. The registrations will be done by each county, and I can assure you that it will be a very confusing and frustrating process for many. IF YOU ARE NOT IN FAVOR OF THIS NEW LAW, CONTACT GOVEROR RICKETS AND EXPRESS YOUR OPINION IMMEADIATELY! Sportsman 600 clutch removal

I have a 2004 600, I need to remove the secondary clutch to pull the transmission. I have a digital copy of the tear down but for some reason I have no chapter 6, so have no info on clutch removal and installation. Anybody with info, or a digital copy of chapter 6 would be greatly appreciated.

06 Outlander Rear Propeller shaft

I’m having issues with my rear transmission seal leaking and I have a new one and want to replace it. I unbolted the four bolts on my rear differential and was able to separate the propeller shaft. Then I removed the propeller shaft bolt on the transmission side.
Should the propeller shaft pull out off the splines of the transmission output shaft now?

I’ll post a couple pictures in a minute or two.

I don’t even think it was nessesary to remove the four 10mm bolts on the back of the transmission.
Shouldn’t think just pull off now like the front?

Need some help here.
