1989 Honda FourTrax 350 kick start problem.
So my Honda was stuck in gear, wouldn’t go into neutral. At the same time the kickstart won’t catch, it will catch from time to time but not fully. I put some oil in and it went into neutral after that and the kickstart started to catch and crank over how it was supposed to. But after trying to kickstart it for 2 minutes the kick start went back to barely catching and now it won’t even catch at all. Any ideas?
Tire Choices for Colorado riding
I’ve read probably a million threads about this but since I’m new to Can Am’s I had a few questions about tires/sizing. Being in the Army I just moved to Co. so now I’ve limited my selection down to my terrain here, appreciate any input/experience you guys have on this. I mainly run trails/rock stuff, no mud, I know these Can am’s are beasts but I don’t want a extremely heavy tire & lose acceleration/down low torque. Looking for some additional GC as well, with the Outty being heavier than my Grizzly wasn’t sure if certain tires are not a good choice for load. I had Interco Reptiles on my Grizzly & did awesome, no issues with wear or getting stuck. I’m looking to go with 27’s, but if there’s a better option please let me know specially with clearance. Thx guys

What’s happenin’ fellow riders! New to Can Am’s, stationed here in beautifulFt Carson, CO, I just came from a Grizzly so this is a big difference for me but I love it so far, just picked up my Outty XT 800R-Cammo today so I haven’t had the chance to take her out yet & play……soon though. Already thinking of mods to do tires & under carriage protection is priority, question to follow. Look forward to learning a lot from everyone, thx.
2011 Sportsman 500 HO not start.

I have Polaris Sportsman 500 H O 2011.
Yesterday I made another ride on this ATV. And i stop near home (not in the mudhole in the forest. Thank you, God!-) ) , turn off key… and my Polaris not start.
Just starter works, but not start…. after 3 or 5 sec on starter – was an explosion in the exhaust (just BOOM! ))
I take off spark-plug, and try – good spark… fuel came to carburetor and if turn out drain plug in carburetor – have gas to.
what could be the problem?

Rear axle
I was changing a inner axle boot on my 2013 sportsman 500 and ran into a problem. When I yanked on the axle to take it out, it didn’t come out of the transmission but it didn’t feel right. So I cut the boot off and the ball bearings fell on the floor. So my question is, do I need a new axle and any ideas why this happened? All I had was a small hole in the boot. If I need a new axle are SIXITY axles any good?:motz:
Trans fluid in front diff
Bought all the fluids today. I’m at almost 700 miles. And 80 hours
I’ve done engine oil twice (Mobil 0w40). With a wix filter. No issues. And I stopped burning it. I figure at 700 hours it’s time for the front diff and trans. I got Mobil 520. But for the front. The only name brand trans fluid they sell here was valvoline full synthetic ATF 4. Is that ok?
Or do I need the dextron stuff. What’s the difference. I figured I’d ask. Before I did it. I did the trans. Just holding off on the diff till I hear back.

Trail Boss 330 winch?
I have a 2004 Trail Boss 330 that is generally used around our 6 acre property for chores and yard work and maybe 3 times a season my wife does a short trail ride on it with me. Anyhow today I was thinking man it would be nice if this thing had a small winch, plus i like offbeat and you don’t see a lot of 330 bosses rollin around with a winch. So i searched the internet for a good half hour this evening looking for a mount and came up with nothing. I know the front bumper/rack assy is not real heavy, but would it be advisable to fab something to that or what? If anyone else has mounted a winch to a 330 Boss I’d like to know how and get some direction if this is realistic or just a pipe dream. Thanks.
Lake City- 4th of July
We are hoping for a trip to Lake City, CO for the July 4th holiday to ride our RZR 4 on the Alpine Loop. Everything apparently is booked a year in advance so we are wondering what our chances would be of finding a campsite (in a BLM ground or dispersed) if we arrive on Wednesday the 1st. Maybe we’d be a little ahead of the crowd? Anyone have any suggestions? We are from Monument, CO and don’t want to drive 6 hours and have no place to sleep. Thanks!
