A few weeks ago when I bought my first Polaris, a 2015 900S, the salesman said "keep in low gear between 1 and 10 mph". Made sense to me so I did that for a hundred miles or so. Today I went to the dealership to ask how to change the belt if it breaks on the trail, they printed me off some pages from the Polaris service manual to guide me in the belt replacement.
Additionally, the same salesman I mentioned had just returned from some Polaris sponsored shindig where he was told that with the 2015 900S, owners should keep it in low gear till 25 or 30 mph…before using high gear! I’m just passing this on.
I’m a newbie for sure…but will now follow his latest instructions. He said what he told me when I bought the 900s is true for earlier 900 units.:question:
Hey all. New here. I am working on a 2005 atp 500ho of my bosses. We had intermittent power to everything. Thought it was in wiring at left switch at first. Traced wires and found some corrosion in the 2 buss blocks up front. Cleaned them up and still nothing. Found that the main ecu had power to it but not out. Replaced that. Now it will only start and run with the headlight switch in low position. Dies when flipped to high or off. Replaced left bar switch. Still the same. Any ideas? I have looked all over for a good wiring diagram for this and can5 find one specific to the atp.
I own a 2003 Polaris trailblazer 250, I am simply looking for some engine specs if anyone can help or direct me to the right place. I need to know the engine’s idle rpm AND the high end (full throttle) rpm specs for my machine so that I can properly adjust my idle and air with my rpm reader (just installed new piston and rings). The stamp on the engine reads as such.

I cut the orange off of my decals. I got the idea from someone else on this forum. I really liked the way theirs turned out and I thought I would try it myself.I think it looks a lot better this way.

I was just using my polaris sportsman 500 yesterday in the yard. I went to get back on it and it would not start. I would just here a single click and then nothing. I did a few test and solenoid and starter were getting the 12v they needed. I went ahead and replaced both starter and solenoid just to be safe. Still just get the one click. Could my flywheel be stuck?
