Using Low gear in 2015 900S

A few weeks ago when I bought my first Polaris, a 2015 900S, the salesman said "keep in low gear between 1 and 10 mph". Made sense to me so I did that for a hundred miles or so. Today I went to the dealership to ask how to change the belt if it breaks on the trail, they printed me off some pages from the Polaris service manual to guide me in the belt replacement.

Additionally, the same salesman I mentioned had just returned from some Polaris sponsored shindig where he was told that with the 2015 900S, owners should keep it in low gear till 25 or 30 mph…before using high gear! I’m just passing this on.

I’m a newbie for sure…but will now follow his latest instructions. He said what he told me when I bought the 900s is true for earlier 900 units.
