im deleting my air system on me 2012 can am xmr. I’m just putting regular outlander shocks on all around for now. was wondering how much height I’m gonna lose, would i be safe to run 2 inch pipe lift and retain some height but not hurt axles??

Opinions: highlifter or voodoo blue and build it yourself

Torn between buying a highlifter 1 k or building a voo doo blue 1k . About a three thousand dollar difference. I don’t mud but like the idea of snorkles just in case. I was told by dealer that I could not get warranty with highlifter. Anybody went the route to build there own highlifter? I bet it would cost more. Both of these rides are sharp!!!!

Cage chop

When you chop your cages do you chop the back only? I was curious if that is done so you can use a factory full windshield?

How bad is swamping your bike?

Ok … so I have been having a whole lot of bad luck with my snorkel kit.. so I am curious about how bad water is to the engine..

I will explain what I have done..

First time, I swamped the bike, it was in a lake, no snorkels… stalled in the water… towed it back and changed the oil 9 times…

Second time, with new snorkel kit, it stalled , but not really under water when it stalled, just lost power then conked.
Was able to start it up after a few tries
didn’t want to stay running, but I was able to drive it back to my place. about 200 feet away.. Did 6 oil changes immediately.

Third time, she only stuttered a bit but had no power loss while actually in the water, drove around in another circle and it stuttered a bit more. checked and milky oil. Towed it back and did 7 oil changes right away..

so… that being said.. how bad was this for the engine..
no problem starting the bike afterwards.

I want to test it again, but I am just afraid that I am doing more damage to the engine…
its a 2011 with abour 3500 KMS on it..

Finally bought xp1k

Finally got a Rzr! I would call this a build thread but we are poor folk so that would be boring. However this thing ran like a champ all day! Got 5 good hours on it at Mine Made park down by Hazard. First time on one, man these things are fun. Very happy with my purchase!!:ride: Only complaint is how mud is attracted to it.

Changing the oil on a 500 XT

I’m looking at getting a ATV & was wondering how difficult it is to change the oil on one of these machines. I’m an auto mechanic & fix everything I own, but I’ve never had an ATV. I know my Ski-doo 4 stroke is very easy to do, so i’m sure this machine is similar. Can somebody point me in the right direction as to what all needs to be done. I use doo-talk for my sled repairs & if this site is anything like it, I will find it very helpful. I’m a new be so go easy on me, I’m sure I’ll ask looks of dumb question, thanks guys.
