Sportsman 570 blown head gasket?

The check engine light came on and said the throttle sensor was out of range, the code was 0520194/2, I then looked around the engine and saw oil and coolant leaking out of the gasket just above the Polaris sticker. I then checked the oil and saw it was foamy and the coolant was murky. There’s only 5 hours on the new oil change I run 5w-50 full synthetic castrol, it has 28in tires and a uni filter, there’s 2000km’s on it. My questions.
-how do I know if the rest of the engine is OK
-how hard is it to change the head gasket now that I have the gas tank out
-what might have caused this
-could it be any of the things I mentioned above

Thin Ice

Went out on the lake to check the ice with my step dad and go for a rip, and put my atv threw the ice. I drove up a rock face onto shore turned around went back down the rock hill back onto the ice and went threw, I had no time to shift into revers and down the front of the bike went and started to slide down down the rock under the ice .lucky it got hooked on some thing and stopped the entire front of the bike was under and to my amazement it never sucked water into the motor. Good thing my step dad was there with his tracked Argo to pull me back onto shore.

Wish I had my camera to get pics.

W.E. shock tuning

I have a 2015 xp1000. Was terribly disappointed by the suspension performance. Did a lot of reviewing on the forum, tried the best advice, ordered 2.5’s and revalving/piston/ helper spring from W,E.

Very happy with the 2.5’s on the front, revalved resprung with crossovers last night, …adding a lock ring for the preload adjuster. No wonder people are galling threads, with no lock backing the preload adjuster.

Was really disappointed in the appearance of the valving kit. The new pistons are the same as the old ones.

Soooo…. the next time I pull the rears apart, I plan to work on the old pistons and put them back in. I have worked on dirt bike suspension over 30 years and see lots of room for improvement.

The pistons show lots of ridges in the ports that I can’t help but feel is affecting the flow. I will use my porting tool to eradicate the ridges and blend and radius the entries.
Valving-wise, I will see how it feels and add whatever feels lacking. I don’t have any shims to fit the W.E. other than what I rob off the stock set-up.

I bought the last bunch of shims from Holz racing when I redid my 2009 800S.

Anyone know a better/cheaper source?

The type of riding I do: putting around seting up and staking offroadracing courses through the fields, gullies, rocks, etc.–90% of the time

Racing over said courses-10% of the time. ( but a very important part, launching up and over jumps, charging whoops, cornering flat )

Loving the xp1000 other than the cornering/ suspension performance.
Hopefully the back redo will help with cornering as well as bump absorption.

First XP1000 to 5000 miles??

Finally made it to 5000! 2014 XP1000

Quality has been great! Not on a strict schedule, but oil changed every 6-700 miles– Mobile 1 and Napa filter. Still on original air filter- clean it out every couple of rides. Doesn’t use any oil. Doesn’t leak anything. Doesn’t smoke. Has never had a belt problem. I changed the belt at 3500 m but it was fine.

Only issue I have had is– I busted a front cv joint when rockcrawling at the "Hammers" on the trail Chocolate Thunder. My fault– was wedged in hard between rocks and too much throttle!

Also seems to be the first (and only) XP1000 up the trail "Sledgehammer". My riding mostly out here in the Mojave desert is very rugged terrain so the machine has not been babied!

Have been impressed with this machine since day one– lots of F U N !!!

Jagged X values

My 2012 rzr xp will be sold in the next couple days and I’m looking to go to a 2013 jagged x 4. Most the jagged x’s I’ve been seeing are $18-$19k still. Does this seem fair? I understand they were $22k new but geez, new rzr 1000 4′ are being discounted to $19995. I’ve pretty much have decided to stick with a 900 for the length between it and the 1000 4.

2011 to 2014 RZR 800 or RZR 900 what to buy

In July I’m planning on buying a RZR again. But should I get the 2011-2014 RZR with under 1,000 miles if I can find one or buy a 2015 RZR 900 trail no eps.

Need to know the good and bad 2011-2014 RZR 800
Gas mileage top speed and so on
