I’m in the process of rebuilding a carb on a 1988 trx350d Foreman.
I figured it would be good preventive maintenance to replace the boot between the carb and the cylinder. Can’t find one, either OEM or aftermarket. Part# is 16211-HA7-671
Anyone have a solution?

Does anybody have experience with these? I took my bike for it’s virgin (to me) ride this weekend and although it was greatly enjoyed, it was extremely uncomfortable due to the heat coming from the exhaust along my left leg. It wasn’t as bad at higher speeds but at slower speeds though the woods it was almost unbearable.
The only mod I’m able to find on the bike is an HMF Performance Exhaust and the TFI Controller. From what I’ve read, these bikes run hot to begin with but improper fuel mixture will cause them to run hotter. I’d like to adjust it to resolve the issue but don’t want to start turning dials and cause more trouble either.
My alternative is to put the stock exhaust on that came with it and unhook the controller but I’d rather not do that if I don’t have to.
I am in the process of switching over to dual Odyssy batteries and have had no luck in sourcing 6 ga wire. None of the automotive parts houses have 6ga, plenty of 4 and 8 ga. Could use 4ga but a lot harder to use. Guess I will have to try the UTV dealer tomorrow but not looking forward to those prices.
Looking to sell my 14 scrambler 1000.500miles. Need to sell outright in order to afford a new rzr900. Looking to get $9500 obo. All stock. Call or text for more info…I don’t get on here much. 7153140355. Located in central Wisconsin.
So I should be getting my Grizzly 350 next week and want some ideas on some things that I should do to it / get for it. It has a winch on it as well. I want to use it for plowing, yard work etc. and just want to know what kind of accessories / attachments you guys have and how well they work out for you. I live in CT so I’m wondering if some of the stores are getting rid of their plow inventories and maybe I can score a good deal on one.
Been looking at boxes and bags for a couple weeks for my Outty 1k. The reviews Ive seen online about the can am box that is LinQ compatible seem to be sub par. Many people online say to get a zipperless bag because they don’t last too long because of mud, dust, dirt, etc. What kind of boxes or bags yall have on your LinQ rack and how did you make it work? Could I also get pics of it installed and the mount hardware. Thanks yall!
Good evening all again!!! Got another problem that i need so imput a few weeks ago was having a problem with the starter intermitantly staying engauged while running it would start on its own without brake held and then starter would keep spinning. Took to my dealer and they replaced ignition switch it was fine til today yet again was out at AOAA in PA and just had gone threw water and a few minutes later on trail starter was engauging and would not turn off. Started quad again and pulled starter wire so would not burn out starter. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what the problem may be. CauseI am ready to call POLARIS and tell them to take this thing back.:disappointed:
I was out having a great time in Windrock. Told Travis ‘race ya to the creek’ and let him go first. Was hot on his heels and as he went wide in a corner I took the inside. Off trail, but rideable. Was hammering the bike it’s true and it was rough as can be, but the suspension was soaking it up and the bike felt like it was on rails. Made a clean pass and left him eating my dust. 😀
Shortly thereafter it started making a horrible noise. I stopped, looked for something caught in the tires, axles, etc. Nothing.
Traced it to the clutch. Sounds like someone poured a bag of marbles in there. Horrible sounding. It functions just fine, sounds horrible.
Limped it to the creek, hung out a bit, decided that rather than risk more damage we’d drag it home.
Since we were on the backside of Windrock, this was no easy task. Dragged it a ways, but this was a heck of a task for the other outlander, these things are heavy.
So we gave up, fired it up and drove real slow all the way back to camp.
It works just fine, just the sounds coming from under the cover are not anything you’d want your bike making.
No swivel in my toolkit and BRP has made accessing the clutch on these about impossible even with a swivel. So I loaded it up on the trailer.
I’m thinking one of two things. Either the belt is breaking and has frayed and is slapping the cover with the fray or one of the flywheight bolts has come out and is rattling around in there.
FYI this is a VforceJohn primary, stock secondary and Mav belt, with all of about 100 miles on them.
Whatcha think I’m gonna find when I pull the cover off?
