I need to raise the rpm on my 1k. It is running at 7500. I want to raise it back to 8400. I know I have to take weight off. My arms weigh 49 grams.
The arms are set up as follows. First 3 washers. 3 grams left side. 2 washers. 2 gram right. Middle 3 washers right side 3 gram. Total weight per arm is 49 gram.
Closest to pin is suppose to be more bite. How do I need to adjust.
I have a 2007 500 HO X2
The last 2 years i have had it overheat a few times.. very sporadic..
Last year i changed the rad fluid, I always clean out the rad.. everything looks good.
Yesterday i was up a logging road, and all of a sudden i could feel serious heat coming out of the engine, and then bam it just shut off. No warning light or anything.
Fan was running.. has full fluid..
Keeps tunring over.. i let it sit for about 10 mins, and then it ran fine for the day?
maybe the fan isnt coming on soon enough?
What could be the problem do you think.. like i say its very intermittent.
I am in the middle of researching a new 7.5 x 16 vnose trailer. I started looking at the steel trailers out of South Georgia and the reviews are less than stellar. So I am leaning toward an Aluminum out of Indiana or midwest. I am going to add 12" to height and some options. Does anyone have any recommendation as to the best price and service to buy? Is any mfg. sell direct? Is it better to go through a dealer?

Lurked on here for about a month, just joined up after bringing home a new XP1K from Abernathy’s this weekend. Look forward to building it up to fit my needs and budget! Not sure how many on here can say this but, we have one of these because my wife thought it would be fun for us to get out and play on..wow, who am I to deny her of good dirty fun! I ride dirt bikes too and I think she finally grew tired of my guy trips and wants to be a part of some fun! Thanks to all who post such useful info on this site, I have spent hours on here looking for securing options for my trailer to doors/winches/harnesses/tires/roofs/winshields..and the list goes on. Got about a 3hr break in ride at Moccasin Gap near Dover Ar on Saturday. Very impressive machine, plenty of power/torque on tap, seems agile and stable. Love the stance and ground clearance! Overall, very impressed, look forward to many miles ahead, thanks again for all that provide great info.

Bough it new, April 2012, has about 900 miles now. at 4 miles had engine faure so i added the following just after purchase while fixing engine; team alba bb-kit, crankworks billet stroker crank (so its about 850cc), Muzzy exh and PC-V with AT. And has been flawless til yesterday. Wife was driving it since I bought a 900xp, anyway Saturday at near end of our ride check engine light came on, she said once got to 212* and fan didnt come on and yellow check engine light would come on, go back off, come back on..
Also seem to have a slight intermittent miss right above idle a time or two.. But mainly it did not.
I got it, floored it, seemed fine up til about 40mph seemed little sluggish….
Any ideas??
Does the coolant temp sensor in T-stat housing the computer reads, does computer use its reading for fan on/off switching too?
Also can someone point me to the thread that had what parts you could by to rebuild the driveshaft aka prop shaft (runs from transfer case to front diff) rear slip yoke is worn and lose/sloppy on the forward splined shaft.
