I have a rancher 420 with dct bought in january. I maybe wrong, but shouldnt the dct make shifting smooth? my rancher has a noticeable lurch when shifting gears.. hoping some people can weigh in before I make the trip back to the dealer. At least it is still under warranty

I got an 02 foreman 450 givin to me in terrible shape, i put a new carb and plug and hoped to atleast get it popped off, no luck at all. I checked the timing and its spot on, chain is pretty loose. So i decided to tear down the cylinder and look at the piston, the rings were stuck in the grooves and the cyl had minor surface rust. Could the rings being that bad cause the bike not to start. Im ordering new piston and gasket kit and hoping that will help it, should i change the tensioner and chAin while in it

1. I just shimmed my valves a month and a half ago and i just had to do them again last night. The clearances were way off and after every ride i clean my airfilter and reoil it. I dont understand why this happened so quick?
2. My intake valves are on their last shim, 1.20, so next time i need to replace valves and lap them, but my question is will i need any head work done aside of lapping the valves?

I went for a ride on my wheeler when i came home it was after dark. Turned the headlights on. They didnt come on till about an 1/8 mile of riding it. What could be the problem? thanks
