Another 550 in KY

Hey guys, I’m new to the site and discovered by the use of google when trying to find some info on a couple grivvlies that I found forsale locally.
I have always had Honda’s, and cannot say anything bad about them. Recently sold my foreman 450es, prior to my deployment over seas. I had every intention or replacing it with another foreman,or a rubicon when I got home. I use my fourwheeler for everything from hunting and farming, to play riding and muddin’. I have even been known to run my 29.5outlaw 2’s on a motocross track once or twice on practice day.
All in all I just love how useful an ATV can be, and how much fun can be had just simply checking the mail on one.
While looking to buy a fourwheeler for my wife, there were some things that it HAD to have in order to keep me and her happy. First off,it had to be automatic, and it had to be selectable 4wd. She had a hard time riding any of my hondas because they were full time and she could barely steer them.
Well while snooping around I came across a 2014 yamaha grizzly 550, red none the less. Not what I was really looking for, I didn’t want to spend that much money on one because I knew that I had to purchase one for myself closer to end of my deployment. Not to mention still trying to piece together my mud truck project.
So this guy was asking 6000 for the bike, it had 100 hrs on it. I received a few pics and set up a time for my wife to go look it over and test drive it. Through the talking to the guy about it I discovered that he had 3 total, all 2014 550’s with 100 hours or less on them. I wrote it off and didn’t pay it any mind. My wife went and test drove, and fell in love with the bike, and got to pick the blue one.
I continued talking to the guy, trying to get the price down. I really didn’t want to spend 6000 on a used bike. We ended up striking a deal, at 4500 bucks, if I bought 2 of the 3. I figured I could resale the other one and at least getmy money back,to put towards my next HONDA.
Well I have been doing as much research as I can, and really starting to think that the 550 will be a fine bike for what I want to do.
it’s tough to find real world reviews on the bike as they are so new I reckon, and every 550 vs 700 thread is littered with "no replacement for displacement" mentality. But considering most of the bikes I have ever owned have been 450’s and 500’s. the 550 should be adequate for what I want/ need. If i ever grenade the engine, or sink it in the river (both has happened more then once) then its nice to know that I can do a quick and easy upgrades for the more CC’s.
I’ll continue to hunt around on here and gather more info on them. Hope to be out on the trails around Dec.

450s foreman leaking oil

I currently have another thread concerning jetting which I think I got figured out thanks to slammedranger and moose. But while pulling my plug I noticed oil leaking above where the plug goes . And I smelled the oil burning first then looked and seen it and don’t remember smelling it before now so idk how long it’s been leaking.

do u think my motor running lean and hot caused it ? How to go about fixing it?

Power Steering

Ordered a power steering unit from you guys. Just wanted to thank you for the excellent price and super fast delivery. I started the install today but I have to go to work so I only had 45 min to work. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it’s going so far.
Thanks again
